It depends upon where you make it. If you make a Who's Who thread, that would be fine. If you make it in the General forum, it would disappear. In the Goof Off forum such a thread would be tolerated but frowned-upon.

What is your oppinion on whisky?

What is your oppinion on Art Garfunkel?

What is your oppinion on the movie "The Big Lebowski"?

Sorry, I was in the mood for "oppinion" questions.

I've never tried it. But they sure seem to like it in all the old Western movies.... right before they shoot up the saloon.

What is your oppinion on Art Garfunkel?

He and Paul Simon were good together.

What is your oppinion on the movie "The Big Lebowski"?

I don't know and I have no oppinion. I do, however, have lots of opinions.... but not on said movie.

Not only is it plaid, it's the D*$% (not a bad word, I promise) family tartan. Hence my new user title.

So having heard of Billy Gilman now, what do you think of country music in general?

I don't have to have heard of Billy Gilman to tell you what I think of country music. The "music" hurts my brain. As I said, Billy Gilman has a wonderful voice, but the boy is wasting himself on country music. *shakes head sadly* Poor, poor Billy. He should join a grunge band. Now there's a genre with a severe shortage of good singers. :)

Oh, I was just kidding around. Halfway. I listened to whatever one was readily clickable on one of two "official" Billy Gilman websites. I don't remember what it was called. I only remember thinking, "Wow, this kid has a really sweet voice... is that a twang I hear in the background music??!"

Rachel wrote:So, EireWolf, tell me...what do you think of grunge music?

Some of it's alright, when it's not too overshadowed by crappy "singing." Actually I like some grunge, but the rest of it is just... a bunch of angsty teens who can't play and can't sing, trying to play and sing grunge because nobody can tell they suck in that genre, and because it's cool to be in a band. :)

I think he looks really good as Mel Gibson.

Um... I like that thing he said about freedom. Yep.

mythmaster wrote:what is your fav movie have you seen ELEKTRA (i think thats how you spell it)

Funny you should ask right after Rachel... "Braveheart" makes the list. I love Lord of the Rings. I can watch X-Men and Tomb Raider many times. Same with Kiki's Delivery Service, but for different reasons. I know I have more favorites, but I'm too tired and lazy to extract them from my brain at the moment.

I have not seen Elektra. I don't go to movies much anymore. The last movie I saw was Star Wars Episode 3, and before that the last one was LOTR #3. Before that, I can't remember. I wanted to see Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, because one of the previews was extremely funny, but it looks like I'll have to wait for Blockbuster.

bigsleepj wrote:What is your oppinion on vampires in General?

I think they suck.

Nope. Is it good?

Did you like the Matrix Movies?

I really liked the *first* Matrix movie. The second one was over the top and, for lack of a better term, "fanservicey." I can't remember if I saw the third one... oh, yeah I did. (Does that tell you what I thought of it?)

Well, it's a fun book to read but next to impossible to understand at your first read. Its a very complex allegory. I recommend it because its funny and it gives you a lot to think about. It was written by GK Chesterton, who was a Christian appologist. Its the story about a poet / policeman named Syme who infiltrates a group of Anarchist terrorists in 1908 London (when the book was written) and from there things get pretty darn surreal. Even if you don't get its, you'll never guess where its heading even its most predictable instances. By the end the author has thoroughly turned the novel on its head. And from there is gets only more allegorical.

Edit: in fact, there's a link to it in my signature. And the book is linked thematically to the Book of Job...not that's its much of a help.

As soon as pigs sprout wings and icicles hang from the rafters of Hell. :)

That is one job they couldn't pay me enough to take. For one thing, it's statistically the most dangerous job in America. The ratio of job-related deaths is higher in the presidency than in any other job. :wow!: For another thing, I'm just not a "public eye" type of person... and that's just about the most public job in the world.

The loss of America, I suppose. :)

You have me highly curious about this book, bigsleepj. How long is it, and how modern would you say the language is? If you were to compare the writing style to a piece of well-known literature, what piece would you compare.

(I apologize for being decidedly off topic and asking questions of the wrong person.)

I have nothing against beans... except lima beans. I am biased against them.

Do you like old leather.

Yes. It smells good. I used to ride horses, and old leather reminds me of that. :)

Do you like classic British automobiles?

Um... I don't know and I have no opinion. They're cool I guess.

Do you like Clint Eastwood?

The occasional Clint Eastwood movie is entertaining. "Do you feel lucky... punk?"

Would you like to eat beans with Clint Eastwood while sitting on old leather seats of a classic British automobile?

Not particularly. But it would make for a good story.

What the crap?! Why is it showing Jonny as being logged in? This is Rachel, not Icarus. Just for clarification.
