Well, yeah, maybe, but the thing about Mario is that he (usually) is able to convert easily into many different genres and typically ends up doing so quite well and in a pretty original way.

I doubt it'd ever end up getting that far.

Myoti: Um....he was joking.

I wasn`t bashing Nintendo. Posts like that really aggrivate me. Just like the Mario RPG thread, people always taking what I say mixing it around
to make me look like a jerk. Just cut it out, it`s really annoying. If you want to comment on something I said, PM me and don`t broadcast it to the whole world.

Everyone Else: Anyway, it`s starting to make sence. Having NBA Vol.3 feature Mario characters because it lacks online play. It makes sence. But we need Link, Captain Falcon, Samus, all that jazz.

Second, Nintendo is trying to improve 3rd party support. As you can tell from Nintendo’s monitoring of fan made Mario games, they are protective of their territories. By letting Konami make a Mario DDR game and EA borrow Nintendo characters in their sports games, it shows Nintendo is willing to negotiate more that previously thought.

That's kinda what I've been thinking. I hear alot of people complaining about Mario being put into every genre, but in some of these games, it seems like they're not "pushing", just letting someone "borrow" it when asked. Konami could have made a GC DDR game as any time, and they probably thought that since Nintendo was the home of Mario, maybe being Mario in it would get a better audience. Maybe it will, maybe not. Time will tell.
Oh, and the NBA game Mario is in? I'd blame EA for it not being so good, not Nintendo.

But impossible, considering Soul Calibur III is exclusive to Playstation. No console specific characters this time.

I don't generally like most sport and racing games, but Strikers (the soccer one?) did look pretty dang fun, and Mario Kart DS looks pretty promising (I will own all of you on Wi-Fi!!!)
