Jedisonic's Art

Postby JediSonic » Fri Nov 07, 2003 12:04 pm

Well, as I'm sure most of you know, I still do not have a scanner in my house, so you'll just have to settle for really bad quality till I buy one ;)

Here's something to drew today on lined paper. It's a great improvement on my last effort at drawing a complete female character :thumb: I just wish I felt better about drawing shoes!

That's pretty good! Is she supposed to be more childlike or in chibi form (like there's a whole lot of difference sometimes...:eyebrow: ) She has kinda a sweetly sad look on her face...

You might make the shoulders slightly narrower next time, so it fits the proportion of her hips a little bit better (esp if she's younger), but otherwise, good job! :thumb:

Thanks! :jump:

Lol, not it wasn't supposed to be chibi ;)! I think you have a point about the shoulders -- they're covered up by the hair so it was harder to tell when I was drawing it.

I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before, but I'm not what you'd call "experienced" at anime. I just read jdillion's tutorials about a month ago, and to be honest, the pic above is only about the fourth attempt at a good, complete anime character I've made since then! I've always liked to draw, but I was never any good at drawing people until I read up on anime. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that I still have a few more "bugs" to be worked out of my style

Here's one that I did about a week ago..

Yes basically. Although I've actually never watched the show (if you can beleive that) I see commercials for it and stuff and thought goku looked cool so I tried drawing him. Hehe!

Anonymous, do you mean from the chin to the waist or the bangs to the waste? If I'm drawing the legs too long I'd like to take this moment to blame my little sister's barbie dolls which she leaves around the house all the time!

For those of you who don't know, StarSheep is a 3D game that I'm working on, the main character of which is my avatar. It's basically a parody of StarFox, but I'm taking the gameplay seriously so it'll be a fun game, jokes aside :thumb: Those of you who have played StarFox may recall a little red "winged fox" icon that was on each Arwing... I decided to make my own version and have it orbit around buttons in the main menu

Okay, thanks for the tip! By the way, you can download the StarSheep demo on my site, though the actual development is progressing far past what you see there ;)

Well here's something that I've recently completed -- I'm thinking alternating gold and brown hair :)

The second one is from my 6-year-old sister, trying to "copy" it :thumb:

Nice stuff JediSonic. :thumb: I noticed your little sister has the same name as my Josh's little sister, Sarah. Your mom has good taste in names.

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

ink

Postby JediSonic » Sat Nov 15, 2003 6:53 am

Haha! That is so freakishly weird and funny!

Well anyway here's something I did with a pen yesterday... it's a lot easier to edit out the noise on a digital photo of ink then pencil, isn't it? Except, the shoes and hands got all messed up :P

I really really need to get a scanner! We also need to get a better printer. With any luck, my dad will be looking into getting a $70 printer-scanner-copier combo from target

Well here is a really really really bad quality photo of my latest drawing.

It's Tweety Schwarzenegger!!

Postby JediSonic » Tue Dec 02, 2003 1:17 pm

Well here's something that had better get you laughin... What do you get when you cross Tweety Bird with Arnold Schwarzenegger? Flapco! Flapco Bombardme is going to be the laughable parody replacement for Falco Lombardi in my game StarSheep.

How how does this look? Sorry if you don't like it.. I don't have much experience drawing big, muscular pidgeons.

What do you guys think for color schemes? Should he be falco-dark blue, cutesy baby blue, lime green?

I'll add some more detail and clean-ness later..

You guys are right.. exnay on the chopping off of the forhead :D

Anyway, I'm really bad at detailed profiles, but here's my first attempt at a full body profile, using a very simple face shape which is the only kind I can do:

What's that? Oh. Not enough forhead. I see.
