any person know anyone so crazy about manga that they named something of theirs a character?

Ive heard of 2 peeps. 1 of which named her pet kitten KUWABARA!(fromYyh)
And the other one named her pet kitten KURAMA!(fromYyh)

The Kuwabara kitten must have been pretty downright ugly to have that name!

How odd would it have been if she was a big fan of Kurama,and every time she called him-?

ROTFL, hmmm. i have heard of such people. They truely are special. I never could bring myself to name anything of mine after anything, I guess I try to be original. Although I did have a dog i wanted to name Gunnar (teknoman enemy) i mean thats a really cool name, no?, ok its prolly lame but come on it TEKNOMAN! I also had a heck of a time not naming a cat of mine Liono....perhaps Panthro...hmmmm... perhaps... hmmmm... maybe......hmmmmm (to be continued)

I've never named a pet after an anime or manga character.

One of my cats is named "Cutie," which isn't my fault because my mother named it.

Now that she's not so tiny and cute it seems a strange name. I, however, continue to think she's cute.

I would never want to name a pet after a character I really liked because,

1) I would be calling them that and it would be weird to associate the name with two different things, and

2) Whenever anyone asked their name, it would be weird. Stick to simple.

ya see i knew i wasnt only 1 who thought it kinda odd to name a pet or anything from an anime... however tempting it may be. I used to have 2 chow chow dogs, named Ahh-Chu (aka chewie), and Babays kid Bruiser (aka Bruiser), ok now i didnt name them but come on Ahh-Chu is hillarious...thats a good name for a dog that likes to sneeze...

I think it would be fun to name your dog Inu-Yasha!! Then, whenever he gets unruly, all you have to do is say, "Inu-Yasha, SIT!!!" That would be so fun! XD XD j/k But if I ever got a cat, I would name it Lynx, after the character from Chrono Cross. Just because it's cool! ^.~

Well...I've never named a pet after a manga character, but I DID try to covience my family to name our dog Pippin. They wouldn't let me....said it 'sounded like a girls name'. I'm offened for poor Peregrin. HE'S NOT A GIRL! T_T (Of course, suggesting 'Merry' afterwards was probably a bad idea).

As for me, I think Sugino (tactics) and Narukami (Matantei Loki Ragnarok) would be MOST excellent names for the pair of American eskimo dogs I hope to own in the future. If I have children, I'd also like to give them names that reflect their heritage in some way, and being part Japanese, I guess it'd be hard to avoid naming my children after SOME anime character or another, though that wouldn't be my intention.
