There was a Chrono Trigger anime... It didn't look nearly as cool as the Akira Toriyama anime sequences... It was basically about the monsters taking over the millenial fair... Just a short feature

My favorite music is the music that plays when you fight miguel... Of course, he's so hard it sorta diminishes the admiration...

O.O Oh, I know!! I love that music!! And it gives the battle a really sad feeling, too...But I think my favorite music from the entire series goes to Froggy's theme! It's just so awesome, especially when it's orchestrated. Of course, it's closely followed by the "Another World" theme and "Time Scar" from Cross. Then, there's always Magus's theme...Man, the music in that series is just amazing! XD

Too bad Chrono Break was cancled...there were working on it and quit. I found screenshots, it looked like FF10. I`m passed the hydra Marsh part.

Is it possible to get Glenn even if you helped her, and plus it sounds stupid if you refuse to help her. My current best party is:

Serge
Guile
Greco

Yes, I named Serge "Tom" and the only other character I named was NeoFio. I had to name it Daisy.

This game is so awesome! It`s like RPG freestyle, there are so many paths you can take. It seems like it doesn`t focus on storyline that hard, In Disc 2 does it get more broad? Someone told me Lavos was in it.

I played Chrono Trigger just to get it over with so I could play Cross and then realized it`s a better game anyways. Actually Cross and Trigger are equal but the whole mute main character thing is stupid.

No, getting Glenn is impossible if you chose to save Kid. That's why I usually choose to leave Kid, because Glenn is an awesome character...
Even if you can't use him (or any of your other characters that you've obtained to this point) for about half of the game...XP
And technically, Lavos isn't really in it...
It's the Time Devourer, even though they call it Lavos, if I remember correctly...
And yeah, it starts focusing on the storyline a lot more...You'll see when you reach Fort Dragonia.

Personally, I think CC has the best battle system in any game...I love it! It's easy to learn, fun to use, and you don't start using only physical attacks, or only magical attacks. It balances everything out, which is good.

Yeah, I know but I can`t find any ressurection items. I`ll try to recriut Glenn my second time around.

Yeah, isn`t
The Time Devourer the last boss?
I think "Scars of Time" would make perfect last boss music.

Wha..? Ressurection items? Oh...
You don't need any ressurection items. Norris (you'll meet him later) comes and saves Kid with a Hydra potion from Porre. 'Sides, you think Kid would die from some poison? HA! You don't know Kid so well! XD
And lastly, there is no final boss music. You'll find out why later.

No, I meant like Pheonix Downs.

Not items, elements.

And I said it would`ve been good boss music for any game preferably the game it`s from.

Ah. You could've found one by now...It's in Viper Manor. There's a Revive element in a box in the soldiers' room. A very helpful element, indeed.

I like Chrono Cross much better.
I didn't like the DBZ animation of Chrono Trigger.
both games were good but Cross has better graphic and music.

As for the mute main character thing, that is a pain!
Suikoden 4 was really bad too in that respect.
I wish the RPG companies would take a hint from Game Arts who have Main Character with spunk! Especially Ryudo.

It wasn't DBZ animation. It was just Akira Toriyama, drawing in his style of art. I like it, personally. I also don't mind the silent characters...I don't know why, but I somehow feel that it gives them this...odd but strangely cool personality. Anyways, I thought that they were equal in gameplay, story, characters, etc. I liked them both, and they both hold equal nostalgic value for me, so it's cool!

For Cross, my favorite tunes would have to be Magical Dreamers, the "Song of Marbule" that plays when you bring Home World's Fargo back to his senses and awaken the Black Dragon. The one Nikki performs. It also plays during one of the ending sequences (if Nikki and Razzly are in your party).

As for my favorite music out of the entire series, Schala's Theme from Chrono Trigger. Definitely. That's why I like the music that plays if you use the Chrono Cross on the Time Devourer, because it's Schala's Theme.

With that said, I didn't like Cross for the most part because of the confusing storyline and insane number of characters that contributed nothing to the storyline. Also the Dual/Triple Tech system was (mostly) removed. There were what, six Dual Techs and two Triple Techs in the game? Sadness. I loved pulling out Triple Techs in Trigger. That's part of what made it fun.

"Hey, let's destroy Guardia from Chrono Trigger, but never tell the player how it was destroyed! And even though the Masamune is a holy sword that saved the world, let's make it evil for no reason! Then let's kill off all the characters from the first game, but not say how they died!"

Okay, I'll stop bashing now, I promise. The point is, I didn't care much for Cross.

Cross DID have good music. Man, did it have some good music.

I consider Chrono Trigger a straight-up similar RPG to FF and Chrono Cross more of a freestly do-what-you-want RPG like Grandia Xtreme. Therefore comparing Trigger and Cross is like me comparing Final Fantasy X to Final Fantasy Tactics. They are different styles.

In Trigger, I didn`t catch what theme was Schala` s theme was.

Didn`t someone previously mentin that there is no music when fighting the Time Devourer. Oh, i get it, you think silence is golden. I`m jk.

LOL, there is no music when you fight the Time Devourer. Let's just say that...You have to make it yourself. Anyways, yeah, the whole thing about Schala's theme was awesome! XD I flipped when I realized what it was...>.> Little stuff like that makes me happy! ^_^

Oh, and we DO know how Prometheus/Robo died, and we can guess how Lucca died. Ayla...Ayla would be dead anyways, same with Froggy. Magus..Gyoo, nevermind. And according to that interview I posted the link to earlier, Crono and Marle died from some accident or something. Anyways, yeah...^_^

"Masamune is a holy sword that saved the world, let's make it evil for no reason!"
Well it was sort evil. It did help you go back in time though!
My favorite songs from CC are Magical Dreamers, Time's Scar, People Imprisoned by Destiny (Miquel's theme) and Ancient Dragon Stronghold.

^^ Is confused. You just said there was no theme and no there magically is.

Oh yeah, RK, I`m about to put inside spoiler brackets what you should`ve put in spoiler brackets. You said this exact thing and I hope you don`t feel like I`m correcting you. It`s just fr the safety of those "still-playing-Cross" people such as myself:
Oh, and we DO know how Prometheus/Robo died, and we can guess how Lucca died. Ayla...Ayla would be dead anyways, same with Froggy. Magus..Gyoo, nevermind. Ok, now a question with spoilers I may ask.
I`m sort of confused about Lynx calling Serge the Chrono Trigger. Is he the crystal that ressurected Crono? Oh, and does Lynx become a playable character?
Not really. Masa and Mune were protecting the sword for a worthy holder (Frog). They just didn't want the sword to BE USED FOR EVIL BECAUSE MASA AND MUNE AREN'T EVIL!

So then how in the world WAS THE SWORD A SWORD OF EVIL IN CROSS?!

Things like that bug me to no end, sorry. It'd be like making Tifa a wussy damsel in distress in Advent Children. A complete 180 from the original established character. That's what gets on my nerves.

Is confused. You just said there was no theme and no there magically is.

There is no music when you're fighting the actual Time Devourer. However, if you use the Chrono Cross in the fight, you defeat the Time Devourer, and THEN there is music that is an orchestral version of Schala's Theme, which freakin' ROCKS.

Any screenshots of the Time Devourer?

And my previous post, there is a question I am curious to know that is in Spoiler Brackets (the bottom one).
Uhh...Yeah, I guess you could say that Lynx becomes a playable character...Sort of...>.> Probably not in the way you're thinking, though. Anyways, no, Serge isn't the "crystal that ressurected Crono." That would be better known as the Time Egg. Lynx calls Serge the Chrono Trigger because, well, literally the phrase means "Time Trigger." Serge's past (as you'll find out later on) is what caused the dimensions to split. So, he "triggered" the events, so to speak. Feh, not sure if I explained that too well, but whatever. You'll figure it out on your own later in the game.
And screenshots of the Time Devourer? Oh, I'm sure you can find them somewhere...Try Googling it. And if that doesn't help, then just imagine a much smaller, much redder Lavos. (for the final battle, at least..)

Oh, and yeah, the Chrono Cross will be in your element grid, but you don't use it like a normal element. In order to get the good first ending, you have to do certain things. It's actually really easy, if you do it right.

Oh, and about the whole Masamune thing...
When you get the Masamune/MasterMune, you realize that Masa and Mune have obviously been under some sort of spell or something, since they're saying stuff like, "What have we been doing?" "I have a feeling we did something really bad..." Etc. So yeah, the Masamune doesn't stay evil.
They aren't evil they let you go back in time in Chrono Cross.
I forgot most of Chrono Trigger, but in Cross I remember they were evil at first and then turned nice. I think the above poster got it right.

If I thinking correctly, wasn't it the one that sounded alot like Magus' theme, but "softer"?

Any screenshots of the Time Devourer?

I saw it. They should`ve done a remixed version of Lavos` theme IMO. i`m buying a brand new copy of CC today since the one i had before should`ve had a warning sticker that said: "This used copy was used by a person who played frisbee with it, sat on it for 3 years, and sanded it."

It annoys me how people think that doing those things is the only way to squeeze fun out of it. -_-

But, the people at EB gave e a completely new copy, so that was nice. Anyways, yeah, that was way off topic... <.< >.>

That would almost be ironically funny. o_O

My FF8 similarily stopped working... but mine was in the middle of disk 3 due to it being very scratched up. Never finished FF8 because of that.
