Ummm. not only is that Reese as lead singer, but Keith, Dennis, and Sonny (also FIF-ers) make up the rest of the band.

*steps up to podium* I'm a Brave Saint Saturn addict.

It's all Kkun's fault, really. He introduced me to BS2, Roper, and FIF, and made me fall in love with all 3 of them. I was leery at first because I really dislike ska (or did), but BS2 is what REALLY got me hooked. I have heard the first 2 cds probably close to 20 times by now. I absolutely adore them! Asking me to chose between them and my other fav band, the newsboys, is like asking me which tanemura title I like more--it's impossible to pick!

Fav songs: Under Bridges, Binary, Enamel, Babies Breath, Titan, Daylight

BS2 is pretty killer. "The Light of Things Hoped For" was such a great CD. I can listen to it all the way through (usually, I have to skip Estrella, though...I love that song but it makes me so sad heh). Good job getting hooked, Ash.

I love BS2. I don't have their first CD though...They're planning on coming out with a new CD sometime around November...I'm looking forward to it.

How does BSS compare to FIF and Roper?

BSS is very, very different from FIF and Roper. FIF and Roper each have serious moments, but for the most part they are a lot of fun. BS2 is almost completely serious. Also, BS2 is more like modern rock with a lot of synthesizer as opposed to ska or punk.

yay for this thread. *has a crush on Roper's voice*

mm..I want the other BS2 CD...the only one I have right now is Light of Things Hoped For. Good stuff.. 'Recall' is absolutely beautiful.

oh also...I have unedited versions of 'Heart Still Beats' and 'Enamel' :-P They're SO better that way.

I love those, I wish they had left them unedited. The "words" used aren't that bad at all.

Brave Saint Saturn isn't like the W's. Brave Saint Saturn's albums are almost concept albums that tell the story of these four astronauts who go into space and face all kinds of problems, and eventually it's their faith in Christ that pulls them through. Musically, it's rock with a lot of synthesizer and programming.

I don't think they're too bad, but other people might so I'll spoiler tag them here.
In Enamel, the phrase "and when she hears this song I hope it hurts like hell" is bleeped and in Heart Still Beats the words "hell" and "****" are used.
Ohhhhhh yeah. I've heard live recordings of BS2 stuff and Reese forgets the words on like every song. It'd be funny if it didn't detract from the enjoyment of the show.

Reese forgets lyrics?! Wow...I'm really shocked. O.O

Anyone know if BS2 is planning on touring any time soon? I must see this phenomenon for myself.

BS2 is a studio-only band for the most part. The only time they play live is at the occasional music festival.
