Pac-man turns 25!

Postby rocklobster » Fri Jun 24, 2005 11:46 am

According to my local paper, Pac-man is now 25 years old! YAY! My fave versions of Pac-man are Ms. Pac-man, Baby Pac-man, Pac-Mania, and Pac-Man Arrangement (found on the GBA title Pac-Man Collection). This game never gets old. Happy 25, Pac-Man. And as it says at the end of Pac-Man Arrangement: "Remember, someone somewhere is being chased by ghosts."

I recently played Pacman on a Redoctane Ignition Dance Pad. If anyone wants to have a really interesting test of their skills on a dance pad and at Pacman, play that. (Has so far played Shenmue II, Sonic 1, Tetris Worlds, Pacman, and Galaga on a dance pad).

Wow, GhostontheNet, that's pretty impressive!

My newspaper did a big article on pacman and said it used to be called Puckman and was based on the shape of a partly-eaten pizza the designer saw on a truck!! They couldnt call it puckman due to the serious potential for vandalism

Really, I heard the designer was eating a pizza and one slice was gone and he just stared at it and thought up Pacman. Maybe my newpaper left out details.

Does anybody remember PacMan World: 20th Anninversary. Good Play. Never played any of the sequels though. They didn`t look good.

Wow. Good old Namco, coming right along in it's old age, aren't they?
Take it like you gave it; what else matters in the end? To be honest, it's all a one-shot test; that leaves plenty of places to go wrong, but how will you ever know? There's a pointer, I will admit. Turn it on, listen to it, feel it burn.

At-Close Paren-Right inclusive bracket-Tilde. Thanks to CAA mods. Taken from Jaden Mental's sig.
