Sheik is in a game other than Smash Brothers? It`s Zelda right?
Explain further.

sheik is zelda, although we arent CERTAIN if shiek is a boy or a girl... to support the claim that shiek is a girl is that 1. It's zelda in disguise... duh... but support that sheik can be a boy is that 2. We don't know the sheikah powers... for all we know sheik could of been a boy... plus theres some manga or some other japanese source saying sheik was a boy

anyway, In master quest... the dungeons were INSANELY hard... especialyl dodongos cavern... that level was THE hardest in my opinion, and suprisingly the water temple wasn't as hard... it was the easiest infact... the shadow temple was very annoying as well, i had to use an online source for most of the dungeons

Are you reading the Posts TD? MSP like said it 2 different times... o_O!

:: sigh :: The Dungeons are all rearranged in such a manner that it takes longer to complete them and that (in most cases) you have to perform more steps to solve puzzles. Some of the arrangements, however, i thought made some temples easier... o_O! Also there are enemies of different quantity and in different localities than in the original.

Yes, the "official Manga" calls Sheik a "he." The manga and I have always had a stand off... especially since the Manga was not written by Miyomoto... (To me it has never been as credible as the actual games which are primary sources. Please do not get into a debate about this. PM me if you wish to talk more about this...)

Well Ryan, at least I don't use the guides for the 3-D zeldas! Sheeesh! XD

The one thing that I have never understood is why Nintendo decided to make the USA version of OoT different from the original. Was it really all that hard to just change the text to english???!? It's not like they had to lip-sinc anything... ::Sigh:: The world may never know...

That is something i have been worrying about TP. I HOPE they do not change it in any way from the Japanese version...

For some reason, I thought master quest was just the right difuculty that any zelda game should be. (aside from bosses, they didn't get any more powerfull, and I was hoping for a chalenging boss in OoT for once)

Therefore, it`s stupid to make a big deal over me getting the two mixed up. The series should be called "Link`s Quest" becacause Zelda doesn`t have as big of a role.

PS: The kid`s shirt had link with brown hair. The original, I think it was. I think kaemmerite said something about Link not having any pants in the original Zelda and just a long, green shirt. He had orange pants.

O_O! Whoa... i have a few things to about this one...

First: Link does have blonde hair... as does Zelda... The Shirt of which you are speaking (The one that I own may i add) has the LoZ (legend of Zelda, a.k.a Zelda 1) Link, who did have brown hair. Link's hair has changed from game to game... from brown, to dirty blonde, to light blonde, then in OoS and OoA it changed to a GoldenRod Blonde... yea... his hair changes... and so does his eye color! (green in WW v.s. Blue in OoT/MM).

Again... these are different Links we are talking about. Despite popular belief, there is more than just one link in the series. :: dies ::

(and no... Link has not been bleaching his hair  )

Second: No, i should not be called "link's Quest" (though zelda 2 was called "the Adventure of Link." You said: "Zelda doesn`t have as big of a role." :eh: Zelda is the entire MOTIVATION of the entire series! Without Zelda... Link wouldnt have a job... (this is very arguable in the fact that in OoA/OoS... Zelda was barely there at all, same goes for MM... go figure!)
But despite the exceptions (that we zelda fans seem to let nintendo get away with), Zelda is a very crucial aspect of the Legend of ZELDA series.
The title is also to allow Zelda fans to know what they are getting: A LOZ game... if a game was called merely Twilight Princess.... many non-fan's and middle-gamers... would have little interest and have no idea what the game was...

The same goes for FF... is every game really the "FINAL FANTASY" !??!?! If they are ... why are there more than 10 FINAL FANTASIES!?!?!??! final... heheh...

Third: Link is not wearing "just a long green shirt." He is wearing what he has been wearing througout the entire series (til WW and TP) A TUNIC! WITH A BELT i may add. The pants/tights are differnt in different games, as well as the color of the tunic... but classic link has A green tunic... not a long green shirt... there is a difference.

Rurouni_Kaoru wrote:Manga...? What....Where can I find this?! *wants to read the Zelda manga...* I'm SO buying the KH one...So where can I find this Zelda manga? Are there scans of it?? Why don't I know these things?? XD

THe manga is VERY VERy excellent. That is what got me into Anime in the first place!!!

You can find most Manga Scans (with fansubs) of different series (yes there are different mangas for almost every game! yay!) at this link:

The manga is not Sold in the US. and proabably wont ever be (if it will it wont be for quite some time  )

The series was titled Final Fantasy because the creators were going bankrupt and they decided to release one last game before they went out of buisness and decided to copy Enix`s "Dragon Quest" style. The game made tons of money. So they made it a series. Basically it`s the "Final Fantasy" of each game with the exception of FF10-2. Ever wonder what Charlie`s Angels would be like as an RPG? Play FF10-2. Anyways, what you said was just as off topic as my "We have to wait longer till FF12" but we`ll just forget about those and move on.

I knew their being different Links. The blonde hair thing is what kids said to my friend I never stated I agreed with it. I actually thought every link was the same until i played the minish cap.

And Mr.Smartypants never said anything about how the dungeons were hard. Read through the posts and they`ll say:

"They`re hard. i got stuck here and died once."

that clears up all confusion.

oh oops lol

well the dungeons... pretty simple... and i already said it! The dungeons changed... like not the layout per-se... but a bunch of stuff was changed around... like teasure chests... where keys were... what switches did... it was INSANELY hard... because we're so accustomed to the old one... and whent his one had dungeons that were different... wow.... i got SOOOO confused

but my death rate is still 001! I managed to die only once... lol... i was being uber careful not to die at all

aha, you played the collectors edition? i have that, as well as OOT master quest... INSANELY hard dungeons (they changed and are different) and i only died once! in the great deku tree T_T

Alright, well nice job. I could`nt make it through a Zelda game without dying like 500 times. Not really, I did 3 times in the Minish Cap, but that was easy. EXCEPTION!

I played Master Quest once, and besides the changed layout the game seemed to get a lot harder in the fighting to. Maybe it was just the fact that there where more enemies then before, or maybe you do lose more health to. Anyways I barely made it through the Deku Tree.

Good news to you guys. In an interview in EGM one of the higher ups in Nintendo, Eiji Aonuma said the Tingle wasn't rearing his head again in the new one. I'm pretty sure anyway.

Yeah, I'm psyched to see the realistic Zelda game coming out. There are a few things that I'm especially looking forward to:

1. Wolf-Link. I love the idea of a werewolf link.
2. Horseback fighting sword to sword. (I freak out every time I think about it)
3. Realism. I was afraid this new one was going to be another like Wind Waker.
4. And I'm REALLY looking forward to Bomb Arrows. WOOOOOOOOOOT!!!11!!!1! I loved bomb arrows on the old 2D games and 3D will ROCK!!!

*does best impression of Teeg Dougland*

I'm afraid I've got some bad news, boys, the game's been delayed.

"Nintendo announced this morning that its anticipated new adventure game, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, has been delayed. The title, formerly scheduled to debut this November around the world, has since been postponed to 2006 so that the developer can continue to make the game better."

"Speaking with IGN, Perrin Kaplan (NOA's VP of coporate affairs) elaborated on the delay of the new Zelda. She explained that Nintendo has not yet committed to a new release date for the game, except to say that it would arrive sometime after March 2006."

Source: http://cube.ign.com/articles/642/642238p1.html

Boy that sucks, huh? Looks like Nintendo is screwed this holiday season.

... And... im not surprised at all, im sad to say. Nintendo is infamous for it's movage of game release dates. blah.

But, on a lighter note, i read the latest Nintendo Power mag the other day, and in it, it had some great articles about Twilight Princess Development stuffs. Koji Kondo was talking about how they made the trailer music and stuff and said that they may or may not be doing orchestrated music for the whole game. I soooo want it to be orchestrated!!! BLAH! but anywho... im a composer, so music has always been important to me in a game, but Koji always has awsome stuff, so even if teh music maybe Midified, it will still be awsome music.

Here's hopen' for Orchestrated music!!!

Yea, i do agree. I would much reather have a better game and wait a bit more than have the game be a disgrace. Actually, right after i was reading the article in NP i was sort of waiting for something like this to happen as Koji Kondo said that they are still working on the music for the game.

by the by, let's keep this thread focused on Zelda, and not other games. NO controversy = no arguments = no game bashing = no lockeage of the thread!!! :mutter:

did any one go to E3 IF you did was one of hundred in line the frist day you got a demo of zelda. well i did.
I n September of 2012 Megaroad-01 was launched with an escort of fleet of zentraedi warships. From that point on the mass-production of the Megaroad -class colony ship began and soon long-range colony fleets were routinely being launched from earth solar system at a rate of 1-2 per year.
In September of 2022 Megaroad-19 colony ship with it’s escort fleet left earth and headed south fifteen degrees to the right of the southern star. On a mission with three objection; One to search for a planet to colonize, two to see what the rim of the galaxy looks like, three to see if any zentraedi fleets are out there. On July 21, 2025 Megaroad-19 entered its ninth star system and named it the sierra system.
Orbiting the third planet is an asteroid that was some ten miles in size, and a moon that was named Karla.

In America. In Japan I believe it's actually the best selling one right now (not sure how Sony is doing there, but I know the X-BOX isn't very popular there).

Nah. PS2 and PSP outsell the Gamecube in Japan.
But the Nintendo DS is selling better than all the others currently.

At any rate, there are plenty of Gamecube and DS titles coming out this year, so Nintendo is in no bind, with or without Twilight Princess.

Nah. PS2 and PSP outsell the Gamecube in Japan.
But the Nintendo DS is selling better than all the others currently.

At any rate, there are plenty of Gamecube and DS titles coming out this year, so Nintendo is in no bind, with or without Twilight Princess.

Heh, close enough. But yeah, the Big N definetly isn't going anywhere anytime soon (and they better not be when I come into the business!).
