Ingemar has told me a lot about you, Mrs. Oldphilosopher. I'm eager to learn more about you, and all the other fine denizens of the CAA.

I'm not sure if Tomkyou would have liked you. He always professes of his love for "the ladies," but he hates wolves more than anything else in the world. Actually, he hates dogs too, and both species are on his "Creatures that need to be extinct NOW" list. So are rats, but I think I contributed to that. But it doesn't matter now. A mutant cat like him can't take over the world, especially now that he's dead. And besides, you're not really a wolf (I hope I'm not hurting your feelings) Well, ta!

No.

I'm a slacker.

Do you enjoy the dulcet sounds of bagpipes?

Yes... but only the dulcet ones. Not the ones that sound like a cat being drawn and quartered. (Nice word, dulcet.)

Have you ever been struck by lightniing? Would you ever want to be?

Not that I'm aware of, although it would explain some things... It might be an interesting experience to survive. :)

Do you think I'm strange?

Absolutely. :thumb:

Have you ever been chased down by a hippo with bad breath?

No, but I have been chased down and spurred by a rooster with attitude.

Do you like sunsets?

It's only my favorite time of day.

If you or your best friend had to die and you had to choose which one it would be, which of you would die and why?

Ooooh, a serious one.... And a tough one. But I'd probably choose to die, because she has 2 little ones.

And finally, have you ever stolen a toothbrush from Target?

No... have you? Nevermind, I really don't want to know.

Poor Tomkyou... He looks like he needs either a really strong cup of coffee, or a forced group hug therapy session.

And besides, you're not really a wolf (I hope I'm not hurting your feelings)

Not at all... In fact, I have great pity for the delusional. Of course I'm a wolf; you're just going to have to face the truth....

I met Mithrandir via email, after finding his website. He went to the college I was about to transfer to, and he wrote good poetry. So I emailed him to compliment his poetry, and to ask about the college. It was not quite "love at first type," though... we met in person during orientation, and then we had a class together that first semester.

do you like Enya?

Yes I do.

Okay, since you like Irish music, do you like Flogging Molly or Dropkick Murphys?
The Dropkick Murphys have one song, well more than one song, with some really kick butt pipes in it. Fields of Athenny is the name. Anyways...

Since this thread is in business once again, I have a question:

Eire, how do you feel about your husband's recent name change on this forum?

Did he consult you first before becoming Mithrandir?

Do you think he would mind if I still called him OldPhil?

Are you going to change your name to Arowen or something with more letters, and more difficult to pronounce?

^_______^ XDDD;;

YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

More or less indifferent. I call him by his real name IRL anyway.

Did he consult you first before becoming Mithrandir?

Of course! He always discusses things of such great magnitude with me before making a decision. :)

Do you think he would mind if I still called him OldPhil?

I dunno, but you could ask him!

Never. I will ever and always be Eirewolf.

Why isnt night your favorate time of day? Wolves are nocturnal creatures and you are a wolf right?

What is the difference between meeting someone online and meeting them in person?

How does it feel to have the pingu slap champion as your husband?

Do you believe it is possible to love someone with all your heart if you've only met them online? Explain your answer.

Do you like sunrises?

Do you enjoy howling at the moon?

Why are anime characters so attractive?

And finally, do you think anyone will ever beat Mithrandirs pingu slap score?
Absence is to love as wind is to a flame. It extinguishes the little, it ignites the great.

Life is a test. It is only a test. Had this been real life you would have have been instructed where to go and what to do.

When i argue with reality I lose.....But only 100% of the time.

Once you've decided on a course of action, only you can finish it. As long as you remember that, there's nothing you can't accomplish.

Kura Ookami wrote:Why isnt night your favorate time of day? Wolves are nocturnal creatures and you are a wolf right?

Sunset is the harbinger of night. Twilight is the time-between-times. It's more nebulous than night or day, and that's probably why it's my favorite time.

What is the difference between meeting someone online and meeting them in person?

Huge difference. Online, you only see the part of a person they want you to see. People have time to formulate their thoughts carefully, and say or not say exactly what they want to convey. In person, body language gives away much, much more. You can look into a person's eyes and better discern their true nature. Gut feelings about a person are much more potent when you are face to face.

How does it feel to have the pingu slap champion as your husband?

Is he? I didn't even know. :)

Do you believe it is possible to love someone with all your heart if you've only met them online? Explain your answer.

Not really, no. See my above answer for the main reasons.

You don't really know someone if you only "know" them online. You can't love the whole person if you don't know the whole person, and likewise they can't know or love you completely.

Do you like sunrises?

Yes. They are quite lovely... but I rarely see one.

Do you enjoy howling at the moon?

Quite. I don't do it very often though... I don't want the neighbors calling the cops on the nutcase next door.

Why are anime characters so attractive?

Are they? Hmm. I suppose because the artists draw them that way... and some people find unreality more attractive than reality. This might also apply to the idea of online relationships. ]And finally, do you think anyone will ever beat Mithrandirs pingu slap score?
While it's possible that someone could beat him, I have seen the fervor with which he can throw himself at a video game. They would not keep the throne for long.

I have come up with some more questions...hehehe

Did you find the above statement creepy?

What do you like best about the United States?

Would you ever shave your head and tattoo a frog on it?

Would you ever name a baby girl "Shirley Hildegarde?"

What do you think of the weather your state is currently having?

Have you ever run around outside wearing a towel and screaming "They've come for me!! They've finally come for me!"

If you answered no to the previous question, would you ever consider doing it?

Rachel wrote:I have come up with some more questions...hehehe

Not coming from you. :)

What do you like best about the United States?

The fact that we can criticize our government without fear of being executed. Well, not publically or obviously executed, anyway. :P

I love the freedom that we have to (at least try to) become whatever we want to become, and have a really good shot at doing so if we try hard enough.

Would you ever shave your head and tattoo a frog on it?

No. I would consider shaving my head, and have indeed considered it. But I don't think I would ever get a tattoo. I don't have anything against tattoos in themselves, but... what if I changed my mind about it later?!

Would you ever name a baby girl "Shirley Hildegarde?"

No. I don't believe in torturing children.

What do you think of the weather your state is currently having?

I think it's grand. At least my part of the state. Couldn't say about the rest.

Have you ever run around outside wearing a towel and screaming "They've come for me!! They've finally come for me!"

Wearing a towel? No.

If you answered no to the previous question, would you ever consider doing it?

How much are we talking about, here? (I only take cash or cashier's checks. Paypal works too.)

So, EireWolf, how do you feel about the current rise in milk prices across this great nation? Do you think Congress should intervene?

I don't know what started it. I just strongly identify with wolves, for many reasons. As for my zodiaz animal... I'm assuming you meant zodiac. I don't know] And - as an born editor - what are your feelings on no capitalization, no punctuation and two letter spelling?
Now, now... You know the answer to that already. ;) When I'm online I have to ignore it. ppl i cant stnd it u no it drvs me crzy!!!!!!

Oh, are milk prices up? I never look. I need milk, so I just grab the cheapest 2% milk there is. As for Congress -- my feeling is that they stick their oversized noses into too much as it is. But we're not discussing politics, are we? :eyebrow:

What is the worst book you've read?

What is the worst food you tasted?

Probably some rot they made us read in high school... which I have gratefully forgotten. I'm having vague memories of trying to force myself to continue reading.... something about a whale?

What is the worst food you tasted?

Let's just say I avoid McDonald's like the plague. :)

Michael Moore? (Note: If anyone goes off on this, Mith warns that he will banninate you.)

No, but that's a very scary thought. I did have a friend who drove straight through from Washington state to southern California, and was blasting heavy metal music, chugging coffee, and sticking her head out the window to keep herself awake. :wow!:

I believe I can. Saying that may make the assumed part of the sentence superfluous or incorrect grammar, but I must admit that this isn't something I lose sleep over.

...this may be the first time I've posted in your thread, so that was likely a strange opening post. I've merely been reading out of curiosity, and never felt the need to ask any questions or respond until now. Nice to meet you... again.
