There is this show, Its REALLY cool!! But I am afraid I am the only person on the planet who knows about it. Am I?

Nope! I saw and loved it! 'Course I do have to admit, it starts out REALLY slow. Not sure I can recommend it to all audences, either. It's not that it has language or anything, but it's got a thick plot.

It's great. It seemed to go by a bit fast for me though. Maybe it was the episodes later on...

Yeah, I've seen some of it, like the first two. It was fairly slow, but I still liked it.

I would like to see it, but then I found out that there is "Banner of the Stars," and 1 or 2 other series (more like seasons 2, 3, etc) that takes place after Crest. So I'm waiting for all of them to be released before I get em. :)

I saw the first few episodes when they were on TechTV, but I got off a few episodes, and got lost. I did like it though, but the dubbing was absolutely horrific.

i love it. Great characters and love the plot deep and fun to think about it.
I n September of 2012 Megaroad-01 was launched with an escort of fleet of zentraedi warships. From that point on the mass-production of the Megaroad -class colony ship began and soon long-range colony fleets were routinely being launched from earth solar system at a rate of 1-2 per year.
In September of 2022 Megaroad-19 colony ship with it’s escort fleet left earth and headed south fifteen degrees to the right of the southern star. On a mission with three objection; One to search for a planet to colonize, two to see what the rim of the galaxy looks like, three to see if any zentraedi fleets are out there. On July 21, 2025 Megaroad-19 entered its ninth star system and named it the sierra system.
Orbiting the third planet is an asteroid that was some ten miles in size, and a moon that was named Karla.

This show is excellent, and so is Banner of the Stars. It is slow, in that there isn't much personal action (although Banner picks up, what with there being a war on and all), but there is really good character development. The author of the original novel series put a lot of effort into making an incredibly detailed universe. He's still writing, so it'll be interesting to see where the series goes.
The scientific method," Thomas Henry Huxley once wrote, "is nothing but the normal working of the human mind." That is to say, when the mind is working; that is to say further, when it is engaged in corrrecting its mistakes. Taking this point of view, we may conclude that science is not physics, biology, or chemistry—is not even a "subject"—but a moral imperative drawn from a larger narrative whose purpose is to give perspective, balance, and humility to learning.

I loved what I have seen of Crest of the Stars on Tech TV, but the dub really is poor. It's in a boxed set now (with a big 4 DVD case) and I might get it for my birthday. BTW, there are two other related series currently out on DVD now, one of which was mentioned in the above posts. Banner of the Stars (all volumes are out now) and Banner of the Stars II (first volume just came out or is coming out soon). I haven't seen the latter two series, but I would love to see them eventually.

BTW, alot of people have heard of Crest of the Stars and I'm surprised that nobody here has heard of Banner of the Stars II.
