I voted God of War just because its such a beautiful game. it really shows what a good game should be like. Like every other game out there, its not perfect, and has obvious things that should have been added, like only knowing one character the entire game, the small choice of weapons, repetitive gameplay, etc. but i still loved it despite all that.

FFIX takes the cake for me, though I'm also a fan of the Grandia and Star Ocean series.

Final Fantasy is my all-time fav.
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone
And so hold on when there is nothing left in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!' ...you'll be a Man, my son!

Zelda.

I don't have a PS or a PS2, so I've never played a Final Fantasy game (except Tactics Advance and Crystal Chronicles, which don't really count). I wish I could, though.

Peter Molynuex definitely had a lot of the right ideas; he just needed some more time. There was too much pressure behind Fable, making it ultimately seem like a failure. overall, it was a fair game.
Take it like you gave it; what else matters in the end? To be honest, it's all a one-shot test; that leaves plenty of places to go wrong, but how will you ever know? There's a pointer, I will admit. Turn it on, listen to it, feel it burn.

My favorite is not on here but my next favorite is the Zelda series. I have grown out of the Final Fantasy series for some odd reason. I used to love them but now they are not as good. I still will play them but I still say Zeldas better.

Considering FFtactics,7,8,9,10 all came from Final Fantasy...I give that series the nod.

i voted god of war but i think overall fable should be the winner. its got everything a standard rpg should have, although the gameplay time is a bit questionable, but oh well i loved it.

i would have to say Final Fantasy, all of them, becuse they are so detailed and the graphics are, to me, breath taking .. . . .. . . .

None of these are my favorite, Zelda is second. I've been with the Zelda series since I was real young, so ill stick to saying old school is still cool bro.

Mine is Kingdom Hearts (though it is not on the list!) Final Fantasy would be my next reasonable choice. Xenosaga is interesting and I'd like the play the first and only the first game since its second was just plain offensive to Christians. (never playing that again)

Kingdom hearts is an Adventure/Action game. Or Action RPG whatever.

FF is really good, i love Grandia games, and the silverl lining of Star Ocean is the realistic gameplay. Even though the title kinda points to the fact Star Ocean is over, I believe they should keep making them.

Also, I honestly believe you should post Chrono Trigger up there. If you haven`t played it yet, PLAY IT!

It was released for SNES but it`s also out for PS1.

*pauses*

God of War and Prince of Persia are not RPG's. They are Action games.

Whether Zelda is an RPG or not is debatable, but it generally gets lumped with them so I'm fine with that.

Eh...I guess I'll vote for Final Fantasy.

MasterDias is a diehard fan of Chrono Trigger. I`m surprized he didn`t voice his opinion. Or was that Azier the Swordsman....sorry I get those two guys confused.

I'm a big fan of the Chrono games, yes.

However, I'm also a big fan of Final Fantasy, and Zelda, and...

Well, on polls like these, I sometimes have difficulty deciding which one I should vote for.

Knights of the Old Republic is personally one of favorite games of all time. For a long long time, I always wanted a Star Wars RPG.

Sure, the game was not the longest (but, it’s got plenty of replay value), the graphics were not the prettiest, and the game was generally easy, but, being the Star Wars fan I am, I had the greatest time exploring the worlds, chatting with the natives, collecting the various rare items, going on every side quest I could find, listening to Hk-47's, Canderous's, and Jolee's stories, and annoying Bastila (while being a light side character, tee-hee).

Knights of the Old Republic II was great too, but sadly it was rushed, because the maker got bullied with time constants by Lucas Arts (grrr.). -That's why the PC version of both games are pretty buggy on a lot of machines.

A very very very close second is the Final Fantasy series, along with Chrono Trigger. KotOR wins for me, because you aren’t a spectator like in most console RPGs.

Just because more people have heard of Prince of Persia that doesn`t make it any more or less of an RPG.

Second, i didn`t say:

"You`re stupid. Chrono Triggger should be on there, you idiot. You`re stupid. Only idiot`s don`t put it up there."

I`m just suggesting you should give Chrono Trigger a playthrough unless graphics bother you because it originally came out for the SNES. I don`t blame you for never hearing of Chrono Trigger. I just wanted to buy FF4 for the PS1 and I saw that instead of it being packaged with another FF game it was packaged with a game called Chrono Trigger. I then found out by asking people it`s the most classic RPG ever. i thought to myself: "How can an RPG
with such sucky graphics be so great?" because the beginning of the game is sorta....blah. Well, it gets REALLY good and is fairly easy.

If you want to get it buy "Final Fantasy Chronicles" for the Playstation 1 and it contains FF4 and Chrono Trigger in one set. It`s just like an FF game, but better. Tied with FF7.

Here`s a picture of the main character, Crono:

Here`s a picture of the main character Crono in the cancled remake:

And finally, a picture of the villian:

(Just kidding about the villian one).
