Rita - Talame's anime-ignorant Aussie friend

Postby Rita » Sat May 14, 2005 6:24 am

Yes, that's right, I've never really seen any anime (although my brother used to watch Pokemon, does that count? :P) But before you all kill me for being so ignorant, I'm willing to learn.

So go ahead, enlighten me, and feel free to ask any questions you like (I can't promise I'll answer them all though :P).

OK: What do we have in common?

*crickets*

What?

Where was I? (Australia) Oh yeah. But if you KNEW the powder's origin...

<.<

>.>

Must..... Go.... Get.... More.... Coffee...

Shields up.... Warp speed... Must stop.... Talking in.... Sentence fragments....

So then, if you aren't into anime, what are you in to? Movies? TV? Music? Knife collecting? Tye-dying poodles with Kool-aid and scruntchies?

Mithrandir-sama (-sama is a suffix indicating respect, roughly "Lord") is a little bit...insane, at the moment, but it appears he'll get better once he has some coffee. My name is AngelSakura ("sakura" is Japanese for "cherry blossom") and I'd be glad to give you the full tour of anime fandom. In fact, I've always wanted to do that. ^^ ("^^" are like a smilie face, little happy eyes. You'll get used to it.)
Think happy thoughts.

Indeed, that is one thing I do love - LOTR! Eowyn and Aragorn are my favourite characters. Um, I also love the TV show LOST, and....tye-dying poodles with Kool-aid and scrunchies sounds great too! :P

Hmm....I like to knit (I'm currently half way through knitting a scarf for Talame. It was suposed to be a present for when she moved away, but that was 6 months ago, and I still haven't finished it. :P I can only knit straight, so scarves it is!)

So, if you're not yet addicted to anime, why are you here? Not to be unwelcoming, I'm just curious. We don't get too many people who aren't already into anime.
The cake used to be a lie like you, but then it took a portal to the deception core.

Ok, let me do my best to answer those questions, even though Talame probably knows the answer to most of them. :P

What is your fav animal? um, probably horses, even though I don't have one. They're just so sweet and majestic and..I don't know.

Colour? Definitely blue, although green is a close second.

Actor? Viggo Mortenson, most particularly in the role of Aragorn.

Actress? Miranda Otto, a beautiful Aussie gal from my home town.

song? Hmm..tough one. It would have to be a toss up between "Love's been Good to Me" as sung by Frank Sinatra, "Moon River" as sung by Frank Sinatra, or "Starry Starry Night" as sung by Don McLean.

singer? Frank Sinatra

food? um...cookie dough. Talame can vouch for that! :P

drink? Fresh apple juice.

bubblegum flavour? Grape Hubba Bubba, except the flavour runs out really quickly. :P

character in LOST? Surprisingly I'm going to have to say Sawyer. I know a lot of people hate him, but I think deep down he's a sweetie, and we all know why he indulges in such self-destructive behaviour.

Any other questions guys?

Aaah yes, so that still hasn't changed Hehe

No... we didn't spend many a night watching movies while gulping down Cookies dough... us? never!!!

bubblegum flavour? Grape Hubba Bubba, except the flavour runs out really quickly. :P

O!! I AGREE!! :mutter:

Aww poor Sawyer :( :waah!:

Any other questions guys?

Okedokey...
which is your fav of Talame's drawings? :P (though, you can't really answer that one til this weekend... yes, I'm bringing up my art book to shove in your face again XD )

what are we going to do this weekend?

Are we going to get ANY sleep on Friday night?

(btw, for the unenlightened, I am visiting Rita this weekend... I haven't seen her for over 5 months!!! :waah!: )

Question one I will leave till I see your new art, although my favourite up till now was the cute little girl with the teddy bear, remember that one?

As for questions two and three:

We are going to spend as much time as we can together, watch lots of movies, go crazy and eat lots of cookie dough. And no, we are not going to get any sleep. :P

I'd just like to say that I read and finished my first online Christian manga, and I loved it! It was called "Home" a side story of Kingdom Come. Talame recommended it to me. XD

XD YAAAAY! Have you read Kingdom Come yet?

Here are some other Christian manga, though they aren't by the same people

http://christianmanga.com/ - here you will find Advocate (by foxie) and a short-story one called Lobster Tales by Ashley (the mod here); unfortunately Steelblood has been taken down

http://www.psychoteers.com/ - here you will find short stories by PsychoAnn. Great art XD
