AA ranking requires at least 93% perfects on the song, full combo helps and any bads/poor/miss will lower your score.
AAA ranking is absolute 100% perfect & full combo.

Yeah, getting AA's takes a little bit more work and getting AAAs is very hard. I can generally AAA most stuff on light and several songs on Standard, but the closest I've come to getting a AAA on Heavy is "Wonderland" where I full comboed the song with 1 great. Just keep working at it, harina, and you'll start getting AAs. It just takes practice.

Nonono, I didn't mean that (sorry, my English sucks..). I mean that I have messed with the StepMania options so that no-one can get better than A. For example, I play a song and do it 100% perfect and full combo, so I should get something like AAA but I only get an A. It's because of the messed options.

Making the jump from Standard to heavy is the easiest jump. I started playing on Lightmode...and it took me foooorever to get to standard. Once you get good at standard it does not take long before you feel confident enough to jump to heavy. I just started heavy the other day....so I refuse to let myself play on any other difficulty...I managed to get a bunch of B's yesterday...so I was pretty happy with that. And Rawrock..Wonderland rocks.

I have AA a lot on standard... does that mean I'm good? o_O I try to play once a day because it tones my legs really well. I have lost a lot of weight because of it, and I'm glad I redicovered it.

Oh, no problem anymore. ^^' There was nothing wrong with the options, my sister just thought so. >___>

Not for me. T____T I've been playing on standard for months. Although I can play a few songs on heavy, but they feel like standard.

By the way, is La senorita same as the Senorita you're talking about?

La Senorita and Senorita are different. Senorita is this fast paced pop song that sounds like Waka Laka or http://www.Blonde Girls (mostly because they're all sung by the same person ^^;).

DDR Rulz. Can pass a couple of 6 footers now, have done a few songs on standard (and need to move up officially, but I'm still clinging to my wonderful light mode, since I can't do anything above a 6).

Also, doubles is freakin' awesome. I love it SOOO much, but still can't do it well.

Yep. DDR is cool. I need to play more, but can't the next two weeks (stupid chem seminars I need to go to in order to pass the lab). Sucks, since they're all on Wednesday, and that's my day to blow like, 5 bucks on DDR and do like, 80+ songs. Good stamina builder, especially when I'm the only one there. Oh maaaan. I sooo wanna go play. Right freakin' now.

I've done that before, and it's only bad when they start trying to step on the arrows.

While you're trying to play.

On heavy.

And they get their little feet crunched.

And you feel bad.

But secretly, you also think "Eat that, rugrat!"

And then you feel bad again.

forgot to come report my findings :p

It actually wasnt that bad, it was free to get in. Though I did kind of go at a poor time of day (3:00pm) so there were like three families each with two kids under 9. the DDR machine was absolutely pristine (new pad arrows & sensors, all high-scores reset); I must have been the first person to really use it off of beginner because all of the Player's Best songs were the common beginner songs (We will Rock You, We are the Champions, Butterfly, etc.). though since there were so many kids and the place was quiet as is (the DDR machine was probably at 15% volume on high speakers and 5% on the lows) I didnt really play as difficult of songs as I can do.

I might get it. The PS2 version, I mean. How is it content-wise?
Heart of Sword's Rhapsody

Money, get away
Get a good job with good pay and you're okay
And all and all you're just another brick in the wall
Shoutin’ in the street gonna take on the world some day
But Bismallah will not let me go
Because I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

Tommy used to work on the docks
Union's been on strike
Bright eyes burning like fire
And exposing every weakness
However carefully hidden by the kids

Who will love a little Sparrow
Who's traveled far and cries for rest
Spare him his life from this monstrosity

I've seen a million faces and I've rocked them all
And if the band youre in starts playing different tunes
We will we will rock you
We will we will rock you!

*Does the happy dance*

I just got two ignition pads and DDR Ultramix for Xbox for 30 bucks! Pads are brand new too!

So yeah, I've been trying to do doubles, but I'm running into a rather envious problem...

The pads keep drifting apart as you do a song, and are sometimes 6 inches or more apart than when you started. This is only on light. If I move up to standard, I don't know what I'll do. Any ideas on how to get around this problem?

Oh yeah. Anything else I should know about ignition pads? Also, would it be a good idea to maybe superglue the little foam puzzle pieces together? I've been thinking maybe that's an idea, since the pieces separating a little bit kinda bugs me.

Yep, thanks in advance for the advice guys, and see you on Live sometime if you have the game.

P.S. Are the song packs worth getting?

Heart of Sword, mild lyrics on a few songs in each mix (no more than 3 per game as I remember) otherwise its clean.

Kevin, doubles is ideally done on attached pads (like the arcade machine) soo..... duct tape :P
and the styrofoam pieces are supposed to come apart for easier storage/shipping; with enough play they'll flatten out and not seperate. I only have offbrand pads which are more or less Ignition 1.0's but I'm sure the design hasnt changed much, so the zipper should keep everything inside.

The worst stuff is on 3rd Mix with heartwarmingly romantic songs like "Oh Nick, Please Not So Quick" and "Do It All Night". Awwwwwwww. Both are by the group E-ROTIC. Take that as you will. If you're like me, you'll avoid those songs like the plague. o_o As for the newer incarnations, I think there's some very mild sexual innuendo on a few songs. The American home versions should be fine.

This thread is dead. I need to go play DDR, for I have not in about three weeks and I miss it so. Friday night's a-coming.
