Hi there!

Name's sukatto. Long time Christian, long time anime fan. The site looks like a lot of fun so I'll be sure to post here a bit when I can.

A little bit about myself, I suppose would be in order.

I'm 36, married, with kids. I'm active in my church, and have a two year degree in church leadership and ministry, though career-wise I work in the medical research field.

I love Jesus, though like Paul, I often find myself doing the things I don't want to do or saying the things I don't want to say. Thank God for His grace and ability to suffer fools like me. Like everyone else, I'm a work in progress.

I've liked anime since I was a little kid, though the term "anime" wasn't in my vocabulary at the time. Things like Speed Racer, Star Blazers, Shogun Warriors, Galaxy Express and Bubblegum Crisis first captured my interest, while newer titles like Scrapped Princess keep me glued to my TV or monitor.

I've been studying Japanese for a few years now, and see it as trying to climb Mt. Fuji with roller skates on. The more I learn, the more I realize I still need to learn, not unlike our daily walk with God.

Anyway, look forward to meeting some you on the forums.

Regards,

sukatto

Your description of the Japanese language seems very accurate...

Sukatto... sounds familiar. At any rate, welcome. And if you are who I think you are, you're a lot older than you look. Plus, I didn't think you were married.

Is your real name Scott?

look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!â€
