RPGs and arcade style fighting games all the way. ^_^ Platformers are pretty fun, too

It also doesn't have Point & Click Adventure games which are my favourites (like Kings Quest, Space Quest, Grim Fandango---which is not point in click though the same applies---and Syberia). I really like those games. But don't feel bad about forgetting it. Happens to the best of us with these polls.

Strategy, then Tactics, and RPGs and Puzzles. I like Adventure games too. Legend of Zelda! (Is that included in Puzzles?)

Nah, don't worry. It's not like its going to kill you. ;) personally, next time, don't poll it, but just ask the questions and don't give any "poll options". That's what I'd do. I don't Poll a lot because they are frustrating because I ALWAYS leave something out with a question like this.

YES! SOMEONE OLD ENOUGH TO REMEMBER KINGS QUEST!

Erm...sorry for shouting...forgot myself in my enthusiasm. I loved those games...never ever beat a single one, but I loved them nonetheless.

My vote goes with horror because I like to turn off the lights, stay up late and give myself a good scare. The game MUST have a good story line, though.

Well, I remember I played it. The first words I learned in English was "open door" and "look room" which is somewhere between cool and pathetic. But I really didn't play much King's Quest. I was more into Space Quest, Police Quest and Quest for Glory.

But I like the point-and-click Sierra and LucasArts more though.

I wonder if anyone here remembers "Freddy Pharkas Frontier Pharmacist" which was a pretty funny, wacky adventure game. I can still remember the sing-along-song. Hmmm, so this is nostalghia?

I always say platformers first, mostly from growing up on the Super Mario Brothers games, and moving onto the modern versions, along with Spyro, Megaman, Crash Bandicoot, etc. I love 2D fighters, but never have been able to get into the 3D ones. Street FIghter, Marvel vs Capcom, Samuri Shodown. Puzzlers are great time wasters, and scarily addictive. Tetris, Bomberman, Puzzle Bobble, Puyo Pop.

Arcade games aren't on the list? No Pacman, Donkey Kong, Defender, Space Invaders? Oh well, can't please all the people all the time.

God can do anything, anytime, anyway He wants to.......if He wants to paint me blue and hang me upside down nekkid from an apple tree, thats alright, as long as it's God doing it. Of course, if He comes through with a directive like that, I might have to ask for some I.D. Michael Wanke

RPG freek, first and foremost, above anything else.

I do enjoy a good platformer, though.

Even though Final Fantasy Tactics is my favorite FF game, I didn't vote for that one, since I don't really like any other games like that (played Ogre Battle for GBA and hated it).

I like some puzzle games too, but not enough to vote for them.

And I never understood people's fascination with sports games. *shrugs*

No, Zelda is an adventure, not a platformer. Link autojumps.

Honestly, I play stuff like Sonic Adventure, Viewtiful Joe, Resident Evil 4, Skies of Arcadia, and Wario Ware. Basically... whatever I find fun.

While I probably would have combined Strategy and Tactics games into one catigory, I enjoy a good game from just about every genre save Slashers and Sports.

Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.
- J. Hudson Taylor
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.
