The O.C.

Alright, it's time to fess up.

I watch The O.C. like a 15 year old Valley girl. I'm hooked on it. Whew, it feels good to get that off my chest.

So, who's with me?

. . . It is pretty awesome.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

Kkun, I'm still whirling over the fact you changed your name. Now, you watch "girly" shows. What else?! o_o// ^__^ XDDDD

On topic: I did watch a part of this show once, and it was a part that made me switch off the channel really fast. >.>;;;

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

Yeah, there was a little story arc that was pretty rough this season, but after that, it's been really good. It's definitely not for kids, though.

Yeah. I watch girly shows. NEXT, I'm going to reveal that I'm a closet member of the Justin Timberlake fanclub. He sings so well. AHEM. >_>;

Oh man the O.C. is the greatest! You can never have enough dramas about rich, white people, with all the stereotypical situations and plotlines....wait a minute you can.

Anyway I watched two episodes of the first season when it first started showing. A female friend of mine made me. And I could barely tolerate it's steaming pile of dog poo qualities.

Steaming dog poo qualities? It's one of the most well-written shows I've seen in a while. The only shows that beat it there are 24 and Lost.

That's got to do a wicked number on your sanity. Tell me, Mr. Alberto, do you often have the urge to play with puppies one minute and then swim in your neighbor's pool the next?

The shows run together, you know?

Dora: Let's go on an adventure!
Mooninites: On the Moon, nerds get their pants pulled down and they are spanked with Moonrocks.
Elmo: It's Elmo time!
Ingnignot: You're a...Dirty White Boy.

No, but you're being rude.

Anyway, I think its rather brave of Kkun to admit to watching a show that is basically a primetime soap opera.

Oh, and btw I love watching "Lost."

No kidding, Namelessknight.

Anyway, this thread looks like it's going to be a problem and I posted it to be humorous anyway (Yes, I really do like the show, but this isn't worth it) so...if everyone could let this die, I'd appreciate it.

Just a...perhaps, not as much an Admin warning...as a personal note. I find it disgusting, when people rag on other Christians for what they do or watch. If somthing offends you...don't do it. Kkun watching the OC does not cause you to stumble in your faith...therefor, back off. You have no right to pick at what he is watching. Unless you never watch any movies, tv, or listen to music that is not Christian. Because, if stuff that has somthing to do with sin is wrong...your gonna be a little hypocritical. Now, on the admin warning side...take further debate off the boards. This thread is about the OC. Which, I have never seen.
