RPGs and their Character`s Names

My friend came over while I was playing So3 and while I was going to the bathroom he renamed my character Fart and I never noticed until later in the game.

*snaps fingers* Crap, I should have done that... All I did was rename Aeris as Aerith, because I like it better.
I think it's just not the same if you change the names, mostly. I leave it as the original name, except for Pokemon games. I started a new game once and named myself Daisuke and my rival Dark, for some reason. Now that I think about it, should he have been Satoshi? I don't know a lot about DN Angel. Rival always used to get names like "Crap", "Stupid", and that kind of thing.
Once, I named Link "Kurou" on OoT because I was reading "Love Monster" and felt like it was a decent name. Doesn't really suit him, though.

Well, I'm SLIGHTLY guilty of this...one time..I named Tidus...(gulp)..um...Pukey...
