What exactly do you mean by "totally" clean? Even cleaner titles like Angelic Layer and Rayearth aren't totally clean. Angelic Layer and Rayearth are very clean, though Rayearth has some violence, brief undetailed nudity (very undetailed), and some minor cursing and Angelic Layer has some minor cursing and a couple of minor innuendos, so they aren't "totally" clean. Trying to find something "totally" clean is like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

Well, there are age ratings on some of the mangas.

Tokyopop, at least, has them. You could try checking for the mangas of theirs that are rated 3 and up or 7 and up.

Go to this site.
www.tokyopop.com
Go to the very top menu. Select Browse. In the menu that pops up, select Browse by Age Rating and you can select what age range you want from All Ages,Youth,Teen,Older Teen and Mature.

All Ages and Youth will be the cleanest however if violence and mild language doesn't bother you, you could check out some of the Teen rated titles as well.

I recommend being more specific in your topic about what you want. Saying you want something totally clean implies that you want no cursing, no violence, and nothing else objectionable. There are some clean mangas out there, but most of them have at least one d*** or some violence in it. Also, IMO, a list of titles isn't good enough. It's much easier to recommend clean titles if we know what you are interested in.

BTW, the ratings aren't always accurate. Magic Knight Rayearth is 7+, but it has some violence and siloutte style brief undetailed nudity in it.
Angelic Layer, while very clean and rated "all ages" has a joke about the color of the main character s panties in it and another main character, Icchan examines Misaki s (the main female character) Angel Doll (a fighting toy) all over
. One volume of Miracle Girls has the b word (female version) in it, despite being rated "all ages". From what I have seen, these titles are clean for the most part, though.

Alot of titles don't have the f word in them, but some of Tokyopop's translations of 16+ manga add the f word and it isn't usually originally there.

Volt, using Playboy magazine is a poor example. Playboy is a porn magazine and there is plenty of manga out there that is not porn.

Ruroken, is stuff with implied nudity where nothing is shown out for you too? What exactly do you mean by minor cursing? Do you mean only d*** and h*** or do the two b words count as minor to you too? Do you consider s*** to be major or minor?

I'll list some, but I was just telling you that it's best to be specific to be helpful. Don't take it the wrong way. Also, if you want an easier time finding manga, it helps if you tell us what you are interested in too (shonen, shojo, action, adventure, sci-fi, etc.).

Here are some titles that probably fit your discription:
One Piece (from what I read, the cursing is very minor and the most objectionable thing in it is violence)
CLAMP School Defenders Duklyon (no nudity, some cartoony violence, and lots of comedy)
Astro Boy (very clean for the most part)

Stuff that isn't recommended for you from your description:
Angelic Layer (brief undetailed bathtub nudity)
Magic Knight Rayearth (very brief undetailed silloutte style transformation nudity)
Tokyo Mew Mew (ditto)
Ragnarok (brief covered nudity in one of the volumes)

Volt, I STILL don't want you giving people the wrong idea about anime/manga. There are plenty of good titles out there. Also, I happen to like the above titles and not becuase of the objectionable content in them (which actually isn't much).

There is one scene in the first volume of Naruto with a ninja centerfold that has some brief nudity, but from what I have seen, Naruto is clean for the most part.

The Shonen Jump manga's stay pretty clean: Naruto, One Piece, Shaman King and Yugioh. They're not too bad at all. My 11-year-old loves it. I think Angelic Layer is extremely clean. I'm still trying to figure out what would be objectionable. :stressed: Maybe I've just been too tainted.

I'm still working on my PG manga. I'll let you know when it's available to buy. [*hint hint* cheap self promotion. ]

YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

I think Angelic Layer and Rayearth are extremely clean, but by Ruroken's and Volt's standards, almost anything is dirty.

I've read the first 3 or 4 Rave Master Mangas.... I liked them, and they seem rather clean, though there is some smoking and drinking in them as I recall

Angelic Layer is great, and clean.... though I never quite got the deal with the color of her panties... hmmm... someone explain that one to me?

Ruroken, you might already know about them, but there is hope out there! Clear mangas that have a plot! Yes, yes! You guys are forgetting wonderful life saving ONLINE manga! So its not *quite* the same and not *quite* japanese. But still...

Okay, Megatokyo (http://www.megatokyo.com/) isn't too bad, but there is quite a bit of cursing... I'm not sure if they use the F-word.

Secondly, Path of a Fallen Angel (http://anime.101main.com/mika/Fatoday.html) is pretty good. If your not worried about violence, the worst part so far is when
Isn't wearing a shirt because he takes it off to give to Mika because she looks cold. But that's not too bad...
And then there's Inky's Steelblood (http://www.krazyboodle.com/ink/). I just started reading it and its WONDERFUL. Go, go. Its even a christian manga!

And I have a manga too that's clean but I don't think I'll link that... lol... I can't draw that well, you know?

Along with the aforementioned Angelic Layer and Magic Knight Rayearth, I'd recommend Card Captor Sakura.
