Scanning

Postby jesse benishek » Thu Oct 23, 2003 6:53 pm

Um, I was wondering if anyone has any tips on inking and scanning. Because I can't never get my good art(pencil) digital, it always turns out to light and when I ink my outlines become over emphasised. Can anyone help me?

all you need to do is play with the contrast on the scanned images,

What I often find is that I get little dark areas where the paper is crinkled. To solve this, for a really good scan, I pile lots of heavy books on top of the scanner :)

That's good advice. I have had trouble with mine getting dark areas lately. And usually lightly adjusting the brightness/contrast bars in your image editor will give you the effect you want...:)

People who write below their abilities in order to crank out tons of books and make a buck. Especially Christian authors who do that. Outsiders judge us for it, and make fun of us for it, and it makes Jesus look bad. We of all artists on earth should be the most concerned with doing our best possible work at all times. We of all people should write with all our hearts, as if writing for the Lord and not for men.
