Sid Meier's Pirates!

For all of you who played and loved the original, it's back and just as good as ever. A few features missing and revamped:

Ship to land battle - completely removed, which kinda sucks, but oh, well.

Fencing - this actually culminates in something now, so you're not just stabbing him to make your guys happier.

Tavern - Completely reworked. Now instead of everything being random, you can choose who you want to talk to.

Other ships - The seas aren't always so lonely anymore.

Graphics - Duh. They gave it new graphics. That's obvious.

That's all I could think of. Seriously, the game plays almost exactly the same. It is harder to keep up a good morale, but that almost adds to the realism, sometimes.
Take it like you gave it; what else matters in the end? To be honest, it's all a one-shot test; that leaves plenty of places to go wrong, but how will you ever know? There's a pointer, I will admit. Turn it on, listen to it, feel it burn.

i never played the original, but some of my friends had and reccomennded to me the sequel, i thought it was a stunning game. I've not been playing it alot recently because of uni work and stuff but once i hit the summer i'll be back to playing it loads.

I love the sword duels, and the amount of scope you get in one characters lifetime, i'm finding it a bit hard to find the incan treasure at the moment, i was wandering about in the area marked on the treasure map for ages and not finding much of interest, but thats half the fun.

Oh I used to love the original 16 colours EGA game (I just had to say that) so I thoroughly enjoyed this one which is easily one of the best games I played. It does get a bit tired after a while, but wait a few months and then it'll be just as much fun. It is also very challenging.

If only they were to put sea-land battles back in...

I was just thinking of what all features this game would lose/gain if it were a multiplayer...
