I've not seen it but I've read a little about it in the news. The entire idea just seems absurd to me. The main characters are supposed to be Catholic, but Catholics are notoriously unconcerned with end time prophecies, most of us simply accept that no one knows the time or the hour, and live day to day as the best Christians we can be. A Catholic "end times" show seems a bit of a stretch to me.

Im watchin it right at this moment and 10 minutes in I can tell its gonna be NBC's take on the end times.

I think their treating it more as a drama/mistery event.

oh and BTW a Da Vinci Code speacial was just on the same channel...so this could be related

I wouldn't bother watching this, because it's not really a good idea to show and produce something that predicts the Revelation, because there is that tendency to add things in...or keep things out...or whatever is not related in the Revelations.

Remember God said that if anybody adds or leaves something out of these prophecies will have their name erased from the book of life, and that's the truth, believe it or not.

That's how come I wonder about the movie series "Left Behind" and I wonder if they're staying true to the written word of God.

Cephas, that's true, but the Left Behind books are classified under Fiction. Although you do have to wonder as the authors seem to believe a lot of stuff I couldn't find in Revelations.

Mostly it's just silly.
The scientific method," Thomas Henry Huxley once wrote, "is nothing but the normal working of the human mind." That is to say, when the mind is working; that is to say further, when it is engaged in corrrecting its mistakes. Taking this point of view, we may conclude that science is not physics, biology, or chemistry—is not even a "subject"—but a moral imperative drawn from a larger narrative whose purpose is to give perspective, balance, and humility to learning.

I completely agree. I was expecting something maybe blasphemous, but at least engaging.

Instead, I just laughed\was bored the whole time. it was too ridiculous to even warrant the term blasphemous. Maybe stupidly ignorant. Or perhaps even purposefully ignorant. But this show tanked, in my opinion. I certainly won't watch another episode, just a complete waste of time. And i suspect many others will react the same way.

Wasn't exactly blasphemous, but I actually enjoyed. The satanist I believe may actually either be the Anti-Christ in disguise or merely one of Satan's pawns

I certainly wasn't impressed by what I saw on their website, and it takes quite an exceptional show to make me actually go to the effort of seeing it, so it is highly unlikely I'll see any of this.

The rapture is not a part of Catholic doctrine. Since the show's main characters are "Catholic" there probably won't be a "rapture."
