Mod chips

Postby Kite » Mon Mar 28, 2005 12:59 am

Does any one know where to obtain a PS2 mod chip? I have about four import games I want to play and need to mod my PS2.

And if this in any way shape or form violates any rule, well gomen. It was an honest mistake.

For an official word, the policy on mod chips is as long as they're used to play legitimately purchased games (not pirated copies), then they're permitted as a discussion topic. There are legal uses for mod chips, and I've never been a fan of region restrictions anyway.

Buy a fliptop and swapmagic discs instead, much simpler to install and nearly no chance of permanently damaging your system from soldering (except for dealing with the reset/eject assembly, $5 for a replacement wire). they also come in cool colors :P

I think the flip top may be a better bet, really. YMMV.
