Whoa did you guys hear about last night's graphics error?
Yes, I say it's a conspiracy... CONSPIRACY!!!
They only want more viewers and money...
okay, I'm joking:lol:
Anyway, that is such a bummer that they will have to do the show all over again. That was just strange. o_0
Anyway, last night's show I will do a quick run over my thoughts on the whole thing:
Anthony - still straining to become Clay Aiken, stretching his notes, screeching and general karaoke-style copying.
Prediction: He will be gone in the next 2 or 3 weeks, kept alive by the moms and grandmothers of the crowd.
Carrie - beautiful, perfect pitch on notes, still shaky on stage, and what's with the stance that looks like she needs to go to the bathroom?
Prediction: She will be in the last 3. I wish Simon wouldn't say things like "you will be the winner of this competition and I predict you will sell more albums than any of them." Dang, what's that going to do to her nerves?
Scott - Has problems with diaphragm control and has a weak voice. His tonal quality is great and he is original.
Prediction: He'll last longer than Anthony, unless the over-60 year-olds vote heavily.
Bo - *o*//// I love him. If I weren't married I'd... oh wait, hehe, just kidding.
Okay, by far the only one who sings perfectly like a professional each and every time. I love "Time in the Bottle" and used to play it on guitar. Great time for him to change it up to something mellow and soft.
Prediction: He will be in the top 2 final and possibly win. Either way, it doesn't matter - he will have a record contract and do well. *waits in line to buy his first CD*
Nikko - Last night was the first time he actually hit his notes.
ZZZZZZZZ, snoring, boring like every other singer out there. He has nothing unique about him and thus I will NEVER vote for him. Because I know he luckily learned how to sing last night, when previously he's been off key at the beginning of each phrase of his songs.
Prediction: He will run away and marry Paula Abdul, secretly in the night and won't make the finals.
Vonzell - She gets better each week and put forth a great effort last night. I think her performance masked the fact she missed and went off pitch three times in her song. But hey, she did do a good show and I give her kudos for that.
Prediction: She will make it to the final 5, or get booted off quickly because she does sound like every other female singer out there. She does seem like a really nice person, though. ^__^
Constantine - Can anyway say poser? He is all show, by far in the top 3 for worst vocals. He strains and struts and hopes no one realizes he has a voice that might make it in a little club, but he can't fake his way through a record contract.
Prediction: His fan base of girls who can't hear - because they've been listening to Radio Disney too long - will keep him in there for awhile. But, he won't win.
Nadia - I love her stage presence. She looked "fun" last night. She did not do justice to the Cyndi Lauper song. In fact, it was her worse performance, and it showcased that she really doesn't have one of the best voices. However, I just like her.
Prediction: She will be in the final 3 or 4.
Mikalah - She has no diaphragm control, hits weak notes and is all personality. I agree with Kireihana, she should go into acting, maybe even stage acting - that seems to be her strength, certainly not vocals.
Prediction: Tonight will be the last time you see Mikalah on the American Idol show - be sure and watch!
Anwar - He's become very disappointing. When I first saw him his cuteness superceded what I knew - he has a weak voice. At the beginning of his song last night it was like he was mumbling the words and then he started doing what Anthony does, which is barking out the notes and hoping no one noticed that you missed the pitch at the beginning of the note.
Prediction: He'll be around for a little while longer, but his vocals will kill him. X_X
Jessica - She surprises me. I didn't want to like her because she comes off bawdy and unrefined, kind of like trailer trash. Anyway, there is no mistaking that she has the real deal when it comes to vocals. She has been on the money on her notes for the last three performances which lead me to believe she is really a "singer." o_o
Prediction: If it wasn't for her not being all that attractive and being a little overweight, I'd say she could win the whole competition purely on her good vocals. She will get a record contract out of this show, whether she wins or not. She's just too honestly good.
Overall impression - Mikalah out, and Carrie will be picked on by the other gals who remain and are catty because of what Simon said. ^__^
