Let's get this party started

Postby freerock1 » Tue Mar 15, 2005 9:36 pm

What up all? I've been reading here on and off for a while, but I decided to go ahead, join and introduce myself...

I'm a Christian anime fan from the Cincinnati, OH, area. Some of my fave titles are Case Closed, Big O, and Trigun. (Admittedly I'm a Cartoon Network fanboy.) Outside of anime, I'm pretty heavy into music. I work in Christian radio and mod over at the boards on a certain Christian music site. I also run an Internet radio station, FreeRock1.com (Christian, mostly alternative rock -- if you haven't already you should come check it out :thumb: )

Anyway, I'm not here to spam the boards about that, but to get to know some of the other Christian anime freaks out there, check out some reviews, and maybe even write some of my own.

Looking forward to talking anime with y'all!

Thanks... y'all are too kind.

Well, I guess it's kind of in my blood; I've had members of my family in bands from about every style from bluegrass to hard rock. I mentioned the radio stuff; doing that gets me exposure to a lot of new bands. My favorite style is probably hard (but not overly hard) rock. As far as Christian music, I'm into bands like P.O.D., Day of Fire, newer Blindside, Cool Hand Luke (though they're not really hard rock), etc. I'm also getting into hip-hop and rap more than I used to. (There's some decent Christian hip-hop out there, though a lot of times you have to look for it.) But really, as long as the lyrics aren't raunchy or anti-Christian, I like to listen to a little bit about every style, from country to adult contemporary to techno to screaming hardcore metal stuff.

Hope that answers your question. :)
