So anyone play this series? It's great way to blow off steam.

Play 3. The violence is much more goofy.

Eh, I'm not really interested in it.

When I play a game, I usually prefer to play a more herioc character.

I like it...but some think its horrible...so too each his own...i Would not play it around someone if it offended them though. I do have a great deal of fun flying a helecopter around "my" city.

i played them all, liked them all. too violent, but i can tolerate it as long as it's actually entertaining, not just filler-in violence.

Saving Private Ryan is violent. I didn't like VC very much, but 3 was pretty fun.

I'll admit I played the first two, you know; they had awful graphics and an annoying aerial view. Parts of that game are kinda immoral, but you can't take it too seriously.

I've played it before. Never really interested me. I was disgusted at it and it felt pointless.

Half-Life is cool. Can't wait for 2 though.

As far as GTA goes; I can understand why people don't like it. I personally enjoy III very much. The main-character doesn't speak at all so it's not even like playing anything serious.

Agreed, however some people thought it might be funny to steal the source codes, so it won't be released until April of next year.

...unless of course if they work very, very hard, it might be finished by christmas. which is impossible, since they already were working very, very hard.

This I don't get.... why would they have to do anything if the source was just copied? (and not even all of it)

Oh well... DX2 is still comming out in December... for the XBox.... so... well.... I'm happier than a pig in slop! :D

Yeah, the company blames that because it was "stolen" for the delay, whether that is copying the original or having the original stolen is debateable. It seems to me like they're "punishing" us or something, hopefully having those who know something to step out and give info. I do have to admit that it's a perfect strategy to get people ticked off, especially if you know the guy who stole em.

I found an interesting thing in GTA III once... Npc's being programmed to stand around gawking at the nearest corpse.... I knocked someone (living) off a cliff into the ocean, so they drowned.. People immediately went to go look at his corpse, and began walking off a cliff... More people came to look at them... It was like watching lemmings.

since it's mentioned, the HL2 source code is original. it has been compiled, and yes, the person who did is vaguely known. not enough to be caught, however. he/she/it installed one of those customised build of key-type recorder onto Valve's computers.

back to GTA3, you can't help those little AI bugs. hey, all the fun :) it's not a 'realistic' game anyway.

[edit] oh yeah, did i mention all of the code was stolen, just that only parts of them are spread around?

Those are pretty fun. I like to brake before a large body of water whilst being chased by the police, and watch them fall in.
