Are you talking about the TAKS?
If so, her classes SHOULD be preparing her fairly well for it; it's a very general-knowledge basic test. I know most schools offer free help weekends (I know, I was a volunteer at several) that would also help her because they give practice examples and have one-on-one mentoring. Lastly, she should be able to speak with her counsellor who can make sure she is well equipped, and if she isn't she should be able to schedule a date for her to come in for some tutoring before she has to take it.
Trust me, the school cares very much about her passing because Texas schools get money based on the percentages that do well on the test.
As for how she should approach it, I would tell her not to worry. It's a very general knowledge test, and if she can write well and do some common sense stuff, she should be ok.
