Indeed, I think I'll gonna wait until the second one comes out for the Box and buy both and the Box and the same time.

oh man, you think PC can't take Halo?
LOL
PC is the better v. of an Xbox,
they say Xbox is just a gaming computer so i think that a real PC can take on the job! ^_^

PC is not one thing... My PC can't take Halo, but if I had more ram, a faster processor, and a better 3d card, yeah I could... It's just that consoles are dedicated so take much less effort to do the same job as PC's...

But, I'd rather play it on a console, because I want to play with 16 people at the same time and all in 2 rooms... that's the ultimate Halo game!

Thanks Bob..... my post above should have a "my" in front of "PC"....

As I've said before though, XBox Live and Online gaming of any sort doesn't intrest me at this point... I only get 28.8Kbaud on a good day right now, so I can't do any of them (and playing Halo on my PC would only add the benifit of the mouse for control).

BTW - one of the reasons I've chosen to float cash into a console over computer upgrades is that every cosole is equal, no having to spend time tweaking a game just to finally throw up my hands in fustration and un-install something that should run fine (Emperor: Battle for Dune is one such title I've had to do this with). I'm at the point with my PC where upgrades are no longer possible, to get anything out of this system I'd have to trash it and go new (stupid me for buying a pre-fab system rather than making my own).

The PC verison of Halo will be good for those who can run it, but my machine isn't one of them.

A mouse is only an advantage if you've been "raised" on the mouse... For me, I'm much more kick donkey butt on the controller... The mouse is too... Well, that requires using the keyboard, which is the part I hate... Yeah yeah, macros, I'm fine without them... Besides, all of the needed stuff on halo can be done in the buttons no macros needed.

not all prefab systems are bad, but E-machines sure is... (ranting about upgradability that almost rivals an iMac... or a pda... or a toaster oven)

One benefit of Prefab is that it makes for fewer driver problems and compatability issues... I'm going for another prefab when I go for the biggie (5000+ dollars) It's going to be a gateway digital video suite! Probably have 5 gigs of ram by that time, and the next radeon and a dvd+/-RW drive, a 500 GB(or maybe by that time, 1 TB) HD, a lovely video capture card, a 1ghz FSB, and then after that the wonderful adobe stuff to go with it... Who will have time for games then? (what am I saying? I'm going to MAKE games... Of course, I'm gonna be more on the story/CG sequence end than the gameplay itself, but I mean I can't stop loving games... **looking at MGS3:Snake Eater and Twin Snakes** ok, I love games again... Phew, that was close)

In my experience, I have found mice and trackballs to be much better input devices than controllers for FPS because they allow for a better range of motion and precision than thumbsticks can.
