Looks really good.... got my special edition (with the metal case) version on pre-order at EB.

I've been drooling over it since I saw the footage of it last year on the XBox Mag disk.

Metal case? How much does that thing cost?

I'm tired of the delaying of the game, but I hope it has multiplayer bots!

When the first halo came out, a friend and I stayed up all night and played throught he whole game in one sitting.
We needed no food, no break, we did not fatigue we did not faulter... Halo was all we needed. *drool*

Needless to say we already have our plans made for when Halo2 launches.

November never seamed so far away.... *Sigh*
Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.
- J. Hudson Taylor
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Hm? Oh well, they always told me it was delayed, but then again, EB did the release date thing to get people to reserve it. I saw the E3 Expo of Halo 2 today...wow. I also saw the FTC Videos, they're awesome. Funny, too.

I cant wait for Halo2, one of the main reasons for this is that the first halo bores me. legendary is easy for me and my friend. almost easy at least. just not hard. well once halo2 comes out me and my friend will start a spree of finding glitches and secrets it the game. dont worry wont take long.
then theres the competitioN against my friends who believe their skills are unbeatable. and not showing off i know alot of people out there can defeat me very, very, very easily. to start showing off i must first beat my older brother. then i have a chance to start showing off.. which is never :shake: .

They need to drop the power of the sniper rifle. A lot.

I'm looking forward to kicking someone off of their Ghost, spinning around, and running them over with it. That, and the plasma sword.

Halo 2 Multiplayer on xbox live is going to be sick. That and the fact that I'm going to play it from my couch is awesome. Forget sitting right in front of my computer monitor. Halo 1 is defintely the best FPS made for any console. the AI in the game is great. Halo 2 graphics are going to be dope as well, they weren't rushed as they were with the first one.

All FPSes have preteen weirdos playing around. Acting like total noobs, acting all cool over the mic and cussing like crazy. Xbox live has a lot. Mainly because halo 2 is very popular among the masses of middle school boys id say. I really dislike it when kids go: "HOLY CRAP HALO 2 PWNS GC ITS A STUPID KIDDY SYSTEM KOZ THERES KID GAMES ON IT AND NOT ALL OF THEM HAVE BLOOD ROFLOL!!!!1111!!" and stuff (thanks to that one person on starmen.net)

many immature kids playing first person shooters nowadays. This was proven by the funniest thing someone on another forum heard while playing X-Box Live... "Mom I'm Thirsty" (thanks to another sm.net fellow)

Just out of curiosity, does anyone else find Halo: CE to be better than Halo 2? It seems to me that Halo 2 has less skill involved, and is far more based on wich weapon you have. Maybe I'm wierd, but I really think that Halo: CE isa better game...
[font="Tahoma"][SIZE="2"]"It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. It is true that in Halo 2 there are some weapons that are always going to be better than others, such as the normal plasma rifle and the brute plasma rifle, but I think that's alright. Halo CE definitely required skill, but so does Halo 2 and that includes finding the best weapon you can.

So, what weapon combinations have you guys found to be particularly effective? In levels that are conducive to its use, give me a shotgun and I'm a happy clam. I think my favorite all-around setup would be a shotgun and a battle rifle (in a pinch, a Covenant carbine'll do in place of the human gun). For fun, I'll grab a pair of plasma pistols to add a futuristic John Woo feel to the battle.

Another question: How does one deal with a skilled sniper? When playing multiplayer, my best friend Rob likes to grab a sniper rifle or beam rifle (he prefers the human rifle), find some good cover, and snipe the living daylights out of anything that moves (namely, me). I'm not as much of a gamer as he is (shoot, I don't even have an Xbox), so I don't ahve the reflexes he does, meaning I can't out-snipe him. I love him to death (he's like a brother to me) but it's not fun when he snipes. This is why I believe the sniper rifle is overpowered, at least in multiplayer. Does anyone have some advice on how to level the field?

Fu fu fu fu...sniper rifle vs. Scorpion...I admit, I love the tank. Good point. I'd also like to see him snipe me on a Ghost. I'll have to remember not to sniper-hunt on foot if I can help it.
