NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! (weeps)

NOOO! I just got my favorite Sailor Moon video just got stuck in the VCR! (sobs) Its my only SuperS one and I *loved* it! Its the only Sailor Moon video I own that's worse watch more then 3 times... *sniff*
-AND- I can't just go out and buy a new one, because it'd cost too much. I'm just a poor high school student who has no money for any thing... and if I had te money I'd probably buy something I haven't seen yet... *sighs*
Anyway, I know my dad will be overjoyed to hear about this... " What? No more hair spinning action? Too bad. "

I least I know he'll be happy...

This is one of the reasons why I'm switching to DVDs (my mom's VCR ate my copy of the Dune Mini-series from the sci-fi channel).

The other thing that is bad is like what I did a month or so back... I had put in a VCR tape of Macross Plus that I taped off MoviePlex from when I had cable, had most of the 5 shows in the AOV except for about 5 min where the digital signal dropped out. I had never poped the tab out on the tape and forgot it was in there, shut the VCR off, when to bed and when it taped Stargate for me that night at Midnight it did it right over the middle of the movies *sigh*

You could (should) try to take it to fix... and let them take your tape out....

But she couldn't afford a new tape...no way she could afford to have the VCR repaired...:(

A cheap way of getting out would to chisel it out. Get a flat-head screwdriver and a medium sized hammer and start hacking away at the plastic exterior. Or... You can just open the case with a Philips-head screwdriver and take the screws out. But the chisel method may work best with the rest. If you don't want to take chances look around your neighbourhood for someone who likes to takes things apart and would do it for free.

Actually I find that after smacking things they tend to work better for a short period of time, then break down. Take my old TV for instance...but yeah, you should find someone to get it fixed.

Sometimes they just get stuck...it seems to happen suddenly and for no reason that I can easily see *has gotten a tape stuck in her VCR* I hate when that happens...:(

Tapes get stuck especially when the VCR is really old and just about out lived its usefulness. That has happened to every VCR I've owned and usually to the point to where it can't get fixed or it's a waste of time to fix because it will brake down again.

it happens if there is residue on the moving parts, bumps or something will move the tape off track and pull it into the gears... That's why it's good to keep your VCR cleaned...

yeah, especially if you'r a moonie... you can now buy the entire two first seasons on DVD... Of course, I've heard that ADV's subtitles are pretty bad, but it will be like ten thousand steps higher than the DiC adaptation... SO, you'll at least be getting the real story, even if they fudged a few things (like they do with a lot of anime, such as Excel Saga) The great thing about DVD's is you can turn off the subtitles, so you can practice your Japanese!

Is that the movie about the figure skater and the hockey player that became skating partners?

I don't even like VHS anymore...

although the other day, the disk loader in my DVD player got stuck (WITH one of my beloved Rurouni Kenshin DVD's). So I took the whole thing apart and fixed it. Took me under 5 minutes. (Not counting the time it took to actually take APART the machine and put it back together again).
