SNES games of yore

Have a video game or or VG review? This is the place to to discuss it! We also accept discussions of board games and the like, but SHHH! Don't tell anyone, OK?

i also enjoyed-
SimCity, Rock and Roll Racing (great with a friend), Shadowrun (a new type of action/rpg for the SNES from my SquareSoft p.o.v.), Breath of Fire (it had SquareSoft on the box... i got it... and it was pretty good for a Capcom game, didn't like the ending.)
What was up with the prices of SNES games... i remember when i got Street Fighter 2 it was 74.99 plus tax. i remember thinking that in a few years a game would be as much as a system. :) i am glad that changed.

Tales of Phantasia's pretty cool, but I got sick of it in some Huge forest I was lost in.

Terranigma! It's right behind Zelda as one of the greatest adventure games ever. Great story and the graphics were gorgeous.

Chrono Trigger- My favorite RPG. Or was, until I played Xenogears.
Super Mario World/ All Stars.
Super Metroid.
Axelay! I liked it better than R-Type.

Hmm...recently I've been inspired by 8-Bit Theatre (sprite comic for those of you who don't know) to put my Gamecube away and turn back to the older pieces of equipment. EG. NES and SNES.

I have every Final Fantasy for them, havn't played half, havn't got good in any...but they're cool anyways.

Chrono Trigger is like my favorite, although I stopped playing it because I'm getting sick of long boss battles (stupid Flea)
I'm back to make a post or two every couple years...

Ah, good choices. Tales of Phantasia was a sweet game. It's recently been ported to the GBA in Japan. Hopefully, it will gain a stateside release.

Me too! :jump: :thumb: All of them were pretty good: except for Final Fantasy Mystic Quest and Secret of Evermore, which were really dumb IMHO. SoE had a few good ideas and interesting places, but overall, it was kind of dumb and not as good as Secret of Mana.
