I won't be around this evening so I'm going to share this now (I have friends kidnapping me for the night hehehe). For you Furuba fans, I am born in the Year of the Monkey, which seems funny at first since most ppl born in 1981 are 'roosters.' What some ppl don't know is that the Chinese calendar usually starts in February so based on the chinese calendar, yours truly was born at the end of the year.
Another thing, I'm supposedly born in the year of the Metal Monkey. (yeah it goes further to cover elements of the earth: fire, water, earth, wood and metal). What's the deal with these elements? I don't know and don't really care.
Anyway, the point is according to Chinese beliefs, last year was MY BIG year (Feb 2004 to Feb 2005). I suppose the traditional Chinese would have some special huge celebration every 12 years. But do you know what I believe? I believe that with God by my side, EVERY year is a BIG year! XD XD Isn't that GREAT?!!
I look forward to a blessed new year hand in hand with Lord Jesus Christ and all my CAA brothers & sisters! Thank you all for blessing me in ways you'll never know and for putting up with me!

Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.
Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.
