Scrapped Princess

Has anyone else seen this beautiful show? I just love it, the characters are funny, the animation is beautiful, and the story is interesting. Even if it is sort of sad... :sniffle:

I have not seen it, MyrrhLynn, but I have read about it and seen pictures, and I really want to see it! Great animation, a solid story and characters, and within the fantasy genre--those things make it a must see in my book. Are there any really interesting or unique characters that you really liked (without giving anything away, of course

)?

Is there any cheap way of viewing Scrapped princess besides fansubs?

I am runing windows 98 and suse linux 7.3 on a 5 yr old home built pc. Windows has been giving me an unusual amount of trouble (for this computer) recently(

) and I can't seem to get any media player capable of readingand playing mp4/divx files on linux. Also I'm not sure that fansubs are leagle in america.

Could you tell me what you know about the fansub issue and mabey a cheap alternative for watching scrapped princess?

Well I have only seen the fansubs cause since it is not yet licensed in the US it is not yet illegal to download them. But I know for a fact that quite a few online anime DVD retailers are selling the dvds. And they are like $12.00 for 8 episodes.

If you haven't seen the series it is basically about a girl (the "scrapped princess"). She travels around with her two older siblings. It's her siblings that are my favorite characters.

Her brother (Shannon) is awesome with a sword, and he has a certain "coolness" associated with him.

Raquel is my favorite though (she is the older sister) she can do magic, and she is really good at it. Plus her sense of humor is great. There is one scene where a guy says to her "there is no way you should be able to cast a spell with that short of a phrase!" (or something like that) and she is just like "awwwww" *with heavy sarcasim on her part* and tilts her head to the side like she is looking at a pathetic little creature.

First of all... there are other scrapped princess threads on this board? Ehh... I guess next time I should look before I post.

Ok if you want to download anime you could do IRC (but I have never been able to figure out that beast) or you chould used Bittorrent which is what I use. AnimeSuki (http://www.animesuki.com/) is the largest lister of Bittorrents. And the ONLY list animes that haven't been licensed so you don't ever have to worry you are downloading something that is illegal. They also have a link to how you download Bittorrent and a FAQ about how it works.

If you are going to download scrapped princess I suggest you pick the ones by the Keep & ANBU group cause they always downloaded faster for me. Well I don't really want to get the admins mad at me so I won't say anymore... but if you have any more questions you can PM me.

And to get a picture in you signature you need to have a picture somewhere that you can direct link to. :grin:

I really like it so far. I think the last one I watched was episode 9...

I've watched up to ep. 17 and it just keeps getting better. It's a really nice-looking show. My favorite character is Shannon. He's got great hair. Someone needs to buy this show and bring it out here. I'm hoping ADV or Pioneer (they put out nice soundtracks.)

I agree that I can not wait until this comes out in a Dub version. And yeah Shannon has cool hair but it is just SOOOO long! If you have hit #17 then you are almost done. I think there are 24 episodes (they wrap things up faster then I would have thought possible).

I finished it today :] Some parts were so sad ; ___ ; But overall it was a pretty good show. Short though...

I can't believe they're going to finish the show in just seven more episodes.

I finished the series a few days ago, it was realllllly, good. It's tied with Fruits Basket for my favorite anime series.
