What is posted below is here a "loose" rubric of what type of anime fan one could be. I found this somewhere in another anime forum and thought I'd share this with you...

-Easily offended by edits made on TV and would never watch anime broadcasted
-A devoted collector of fansubs and downloads constantly.
-Goes to any anime convention that he\she feels that they must go to get more merchandise.
-Watches anime almost everyday and has a set "agenda" on what series must be finished within the next day.
The Anime Hobbyist
-Has seen a wide range of shows outside of Television (going beyond what is being aired.)
-Has a preference of watching anime subtitled\dubbed (depending on the quality of either.)
-Buys anime DVDs only when he\she enjoys the series.
-Notices edits, but understands the "broadcasting = edit" rule and goes on watching.
-Watches fansubs rarely.
-Has gone to an AnimeCon only once.
-Watches anime when he\she feels like it or after buying a new series
The Casual Fan

For me I'm pretty much a hobbyist, though I have never been to a Con and I hardly mind edits on television. Maybe I'm a Casual-hobbyist?
