Haiku Thread...

Postby Taro » Tue Sep 21, 2004 1:57 pm

I wanted to just start a haiku thread, lets try to use the lord as our topic.
Rember 5 7 5, that is the syllable count. I will join in once I have written one.

An outcast of Earth
Unrestrained, I'll serve the Lord
You cannot stop me.

(Hey, I like this idea! I haven't had a lot of practice with this, but it's still fun.)
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone
And so hold on when there is nothing left in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!' ...you'll be a Man, my son!

Rudyard Kipling

Forgives all who come to him.
With him, fear nothing.

Man, I haven't come here in a while. Meep!

I feel like I've slipped
Way too many times to count.
Your mercy endures!
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone
And so hold on when there is nothing left in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!' ...you'll be a Man, my son!

My soul belongs to Yaweh

The moral of the story (an interactively punctuated haiku)

Pride a sin only (period here?)
To those who do not know it (or here?)
Honour need not sneer.

Times do not change thee
You are still good in bad times
Your love endures always.
