Scrapped Princess?

Postby RefractedAhav » Fri Sep 19, 2003 12:04 pm

Is there any thing in this anime that I should be conserned about? (such as nudity, extream violence, the occult/black magick)

I would like to know anything you can tell me about this anime that could help me decide if I should watch it or not.

I read that one of the main characters siblings is a magician and I don't know if the magic involved is purely fantasy(like in Lotr and The Chronicles of Narnia) or if it suggest real world occult activites. Any info you could give me would be greatly apretiated.

Um... I've seen episode 1 of the fan subs... And there was some swearing and a bathing scene (shoulders and up)... And yes there is sorcery... But like you said... No occultic symbols... But even if there were... They'd probably go straight over my head...

Umm... That's not good....

Thanks for the input, but I'm still not sure I'd like to watch it.

I need more info on the series before I can make up my mind.

The story line as discribed on http://www.animeNFO.com sounds pretty intersting, and from what AzuFan said it sounds safe. The problem is you can't go by the first episode alone.

p.s. Azufan your input did help some, but I'm still uncertian on wether or not I should give it a try.

senna, thanks for clearing that up for me. I guess I will look into Scrapped Princess, but there are a couple of problems that I don't know how to get past.

1: I'm not 100% sure this is true, but I've heard that fansubs are ileagle in the US and I don't want t oviolate any laws.(weither they seem compleatly fare or not)

2: Even if there is no law banning all fansubs my computer is not cappable of running large movie files.

To get to the point, i need to find a way to view this anime series that won't cost alot of money or crash my computer.

If you find one, let me know. I'm in the same situation. I'd love to see Scrapped Princess, as I'm a huge fan of the fantasy genre, and it sounds like a really interesting anime. I've read about it in Newtype USA and I'm eagerly awaiting it's official release in the US.

my heart, let it be forever Yours, only You can make
every new day seem so new.

I want to see it. It sounds like a good series. Maybe somebody should do a review?

Srapped Princess is nice. It has a consistent plot that throws up surprises as it goes, and the characters are consistent too. Not to mention the awesome animation!
