Sonic mega collection?

Postby Tenshi no Ai » Thu Nov 18, 2004 7:09 am

I'm so glad that Sonic's expanded to PS2 and Xbox, ever since Heros came out. With the new release of Sonic Mega Collection + for these two systems, I was wondering if you can actually save games on it? I have some games for Sega, but of course it IS annoying when you go on old school systems and have to keep starting over :/ So yeah if you've played it for any of the three systems, can you?

*hopes that Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 also make an appearance on PS2*

I don't know...

But if there isn't a save game, then you could go online and get the level select codes for the games. Using those you can just start from where you left off.

I have Sonic Mega Collection for Gamecube. The way it works is, if the game had a save feature on the cartridge (Sonic 3 for example), then it retains that feature. However, if it did not (Sonic 1 and 2), then it also does not in the collection.

But, like GP said, if you know the level select codes, it's LIKE having a save file. I still remember all of the level select codes for the first few Sonic games...I remember finding the Super Sonic code for Sonic 3 by accident while messing around with the sound test. That was awesome.

What blood and violence? Oh, yeah. I got it. All of that gore when you blow up Robotnik.

Yeah I read that on the site too :/ I thought at first that the "extras" in the game would have cut scenes of something that might appear to be "violent", but then I read that it just contains extra games... *shrugs* many they should rate Mario T because you *gasp* SQUISH TURTLES!!!

Mou... too bad you can't save the older games -_-; The last boss on Sonic 2 is absolutely DREADFUL! On my own game, I could hit him twice before I died at the most... on the emulator it took ALOT of reloaded the game and saving it every time I could hit him... and you have to do it almost 20 times!!!! It's insane...

And about the soundtest thing, yeah it's great. Long time back my cousin gave the code on Sonic 2 to enter any level... We spent all afternoon getting all the chaos emeralds using teamwork, but at the time had no idea of turning Sonic into Super Sonic -_-;

Funfact: The ESRB never plays any of the games they rate. Literally. This is a fact covered recently in Electronic Gaming Monthly...
