Douzo yoroshiku minna...

Postby Ouroboros » Sun Nov 14, 2004 7:50 pm

Hello everyone. This looks like an interesting site, never heard of a Christian Anime forum before, but everyone seems nice.

I must confess however I am not Christian. Although I have always found it interesting and like to look at the Christian view on things, as I am a rather open minded person. So when my Christian friend showed me this site naturally I found it interesting, and although I probably won't be posting all that often I hope you guys don't mind an oddball like me prowling around the site :red:.

Anyway on the topic of Anime/Manga I like the following:

~Elfen Lied
~Neon Genesis Evangelion
~Serial Experiments Lain
~Ghost in the Shell
~Wolf's Rain
~Peacemaker Kurogane
~Witch Hunter Robin
~Pretty Face
~Inuyasha (although it did get boring after a while)
~Onegai Teacher
~Rurouni Kenshin OVA Trust and Betrayal (Don't like the regular series much but the OVAs were good)
~Chobits
~Card Captor Sakura
(and some others but don't want to list them all)

Oh and BTW, just to warn you all I have an odd obsession with languages and am currently attempting to learn the following: Greek, Latin, Korean, Mandarin and Cantonese (I also speak a bit of Japanese, just a bit of a warning  )

Hey welcome. It's okay to be here and not be Christian. Just don't post nothin bad. I'm Christian but don't worry i won't push my beliefs on you. You don't sound like much of an oddball to me. Oh and hey who's your friend that recommended this site? I wish i could learn that many languages, especially Japanese.
gone for good...

Hi and welcome to the board!
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

Love is that feeling you get when a girl looks at you and it feels like your driving a car at high speeds and experience a sudden drop. You know what i mean? That sudden sinking feeling you get in your stomach? Yeah, that's love. Leave's you speechless everytime.

I love languages also! I want to learn Spanish, Japanese, Latin, Mandrin Chinese, Heiroglyphs, Greek, Hebrew, ASL, some obscure African tribal language, something weird like Nordic or something, and some others too, but I can't remember them at the moment. ANYWAY, welcome to CAA! We're glad you're here.

[i]Two vast and trunk-less legs of stone stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand, half sunk, a shattered visage lies. Round the decay of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare the lone and level sands stretch far away. On the pedestal these words are inscribed:

“My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!â€
