It's all about me... not really

Postby Mineko » Sat Jul 26, 2003 5:28 pm

Hi... my real name is Alison. Actually, so is Mineko, but Alison is the first part and Mineko is the middle. hehe... I'm 16 and a junior in high school/freshmen in college. There really are no grade distinctions for homeschoolers I guess. I have been homeschooled all of my life, but I'm going to go to a community college in September to take beginning credit classes and stuff. I love playing the piano, and playing with cats. I love kitties!!! My brother just got a new kitten and it's technically his, but we fight over him. I have my own cat, too. Anyway, as for anime stuff... I'm not into any of the tv and manga series except Di Gi Charat which Naf26 got me into. That's the cutest thing in the world *happy sigh*. Oh, and I used to watch Super Book and Flying House and Speed Racer when I was really little. I like a lot of anime movies, though, like Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro and Castle in the Sky. My dad complains that he doesn't understand them, but that's ok. Anyway... me thinks me should shut up now... :rolls_eye talk to you peoples later!

Hello, welcome. We've got alot of musicaly talented people here, and especially those who play the piano. I agree Miyazaki's films are really good. And remember, you don't own the cat; it owns you. ;)

I can truly say that this new forum is a direct blessing from God. He laid it on a member's heart to donate the money to pay for it, the skills to upkeep it, and the priveliege of seeing fruit born here. It's truly an awesome thing.

Coca-Cola products lead to bad humour ... *scribble* got it. I'll post it on your behalf to Words of Wisdom later.

Hi Mineko! Welcome, nyo!

I can't say I'm a big cat person, but I love animals in general and I'm growing to appreciate cats more than I used to (mostly thanks to my brother's cat, who is so calm and peaceful). Do you just have the two cats?

Anyway, welcome to CAA.

Caffeine has affects people? :forehead: duh. wow, I drink a can of Dr Pepper and what ever else that would make someone hyper active (e.g. tea, coffee;stunts growth don't drink it much[not the tea the coffee]), and still be half a sleep just barely hanging on all through out the morning.

Coke is wonderful if you have to stay up all night doing a final school project. But then you feel sick and angry and stuff the next day. Your body is also confused because it wonders why the previous day never ended. And that part of Clouseau is a very funny one!!! heh heh

Nice to meet ya!

We actually just got another kitten. He's the cutest, most annoying thing in the world. We all love him, though, even when he scratches up every piece of furniture we own. Hehe...

Hi!

I think it's great you're home schooled. :jump: I home school my kids. They'll start community college when they hit 16.

My kiddos love Di Gi Charat. \(^.^)/ You might want to try a super cute one called, "A Little Snow Fairy, Sugar." The music is really nice. ;)

I'm breaking away from the caffeine discussion. :stressed: I'm an addict, anyway.

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

Hi!!

I really appreciate my mom for homeschooling me all my life. She even had a chance to send me to school and she didn't want to!

I've never actually "watched" Di Gi Charat. I read those little comic book thingies. The only anime shows on our local tv stations are Pokemon and Yu-gi-oh, neither of which I care for, but if I ever get a chance, I'll check out "A Little Snow Fairy, Sugar".

Caffeine... ugh... scary. I'll probably be an addict at the rate I'm going.
