And now in the future when the Yankees play the Red Sox...Sox fans can now play without that ugly little curse of the Bambino looming over their heads.

I'm proud and happy --although I thought St. Louis was going to make this more of a competetive series.

I may not be from Saint Louis, but I am glad that the Red Sox won the Series (finally). They have had many good teams, and it seems unfair that they have not won in so long (not to mention the attitudes of Yankees fans). Yankees fans holding up signs that say "2004" won't seem nearly as intimidating.

The red socks have done something that is unheard off, coming back from 3 games down to beat the yankees and sweeping the World Series. My hat goes off to them. It's been quite an interesting post-season. But to bad the Astros didn't win, they haven't ever won a world series :(. But so goes life.

Yep, congrats to the Sox. What a great way to finally win one. By beating the Yankees in dramatic fashion. I do feel sorry that Larry Walker was one of the only Cards hitting, and that his team couldn't even win 1 lousy game.

Congrats to the Sox, now the curse of the Bambino is broken and they can get that superstition out of their heads.

Actually this year two superstitions concerning the Red Sox were disporved:
1)That they're loosing was a result of some curse that had been hanging over their heads since Babe Ruth had been traded to the Yankees.
Note:When Ruth was with Boston his position was Pitcher. The Yankees only
moved him to the outfield later on as a means to get his bat into the game
more often than he would have if he had been retained at the pitching
position.(sub-note:Ruth had a very good pitching record with the Sox)
2)That the Democrats would win because of the American League victory.
This is based on the superstition that Democrats do better when the AL
wins the World Series in election years and the the GOP when the NL
wins.
