Hi all

Postby MaxPendragon » Sun Oct 24, 2004 10:14 pm

Hi everyone, the name's MaxPendragon.

I was fed up with the moraless, faithless, obscene, and offensive forums at OCRemix so I decided to come here. I'm not a complete Anime fan but I LOVE Miyazaki. Anyways, I came here to find people who find interest in the same stuff I do while having some good strong Christian Morals.

I'm LDS, so you probably may not consider me Christian but that's ok. Anyway, I love Jesus and he is my savior and I can't wait to start becoming active.

God Bless,
Max Pendragon

"The advice I like to give young artists, or really anybody who’ll listen to me, is not to wait around for inspiration. Inspiration is for amateurs; the rest of us just show up and get to work. If you wait around for the clouds to part and a bolt of lightning to strike you in the brain, you are not going to make an awful lot of work. All the best ideas come out of the process; they come out of the work itself. Things occur to you. If you’re sitting around trying to dream up a great art idea, you can sit there a long time before anything happens. But if you just get to work, something will occur to you and something else will occur to you and something else that you reject will push you in another direction. Inspiration is absolutely unnecessary and somehow deceptive. You feel like you need this great idea before you can get down to work, and I find that’s almost never the case." - Chuck Close

Let me tell ya, I know I'm going to like it here.

OCRemix, though I love the music there, has a corrupt Forum. I felt like the only one there that had light or was positive and didn't swear. So I came here to walk away from the obscenity. I think I'll like it here alot.. ButI gotta go and get some shut-eye. I have early morning seminary tommorow.

But before I do... *Shakes CT Girl's hand.*

We don't mind Mormons here either (since we discourage theology as a topic, being off-topic to our particular focus on anime compatible with a Christian walk, it's not generally an issue as long as people's rights to disagree are respected).

Pendragon eh? Are you a once and future king?

Like Shoo said, debates are discouraged here, so there shouldn't be a problem. It's better to take theological discussions to PM if you feel the need. I am a Catholic seminarian, so people are always PMing me with questions about the Catholic Church, and I am happy to give them answers.

Welcome, Pendragon! *offers handshake and some assorted candy, since it's just that time of year*

Pendragon: Ooh, sugar!
Ssjjvash: (good, he hasn't noticed that I haven't offered a milkshake yet...)
Random forummer: Hey, where's his milkshake?
Pendragon: O.O Milkshake? Where?!

Hi and welcome, Max! ^___^

YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.
