Just in case you didn't get to see it, following is a transcript of what was said (essentially, I might have edited it a very little bit, leaving out an uh here or there). Judging from the repetition of the word 'tonight' and of all of the 'uhs' I left in, I think it's safe to say Curt was a little nervous. I'd be too, in his place (witnessing never gets easy). Anyway, here it is:
Fox wrote:Kenny Albert: Curt first of all how'd the ankle feel out there? It's alright, it's alright. I gotta say, uh, I became a Christian seven years ago and I have never in my life been as, been touched by God like I was tonight. Tonight was...I tried to go and do it myself in game 1, and I showed you, you saw what happened. Tonight uh, tonight was, was God's work tonight on that mound tonight no question.
Kenny Albert: Did you want to go back out there for the eighth inning? What did, uh, Terry Franconi and Dave Wallace say to you?
Curt Schilling: I had had enough. I was struggling from about the fourth inning on, we got a lead, I made some mistakes and they hit them right at people.
Kenny Albert: After what happened in game 1, how disappointing would it have been for you had you not gotten this opportunity to pitch again in this series?
Curt Schilling: I'd have been disappointing for everybody, you know I uh, went out there in game one and didn't get it done, but uh, these guys, I'm so proud of these guys. This is unbelievable.
Kenny Albert: First team in baseball history to force a game seven after trailing three games to none, uh, what do you expect out of this wild series tomorrow with Tim Wakefield on the mound?
Curt Schilling: An incredible game. But, uh you know, there's no reason we can't, uh, we just finished doing something that's never been done, there's no reason we can go out and do it tomorrow.
Kenny Albert: Alright Curt, great effort, congratulations.
