Myself, and other good jokes....

Hi, all!

What can I tell you that you do not already know, from those who do not lie? (-slightly paraphrased John Lennon quote) Well, yes, everything... As posted on my "hi, how's it going" quickie, I write and draw. I play saxophone. I watch Cowboy Bebop and drool over the sax music (if only... maybe someday... who am I kidding?).

You can ask me anything further you may be wondering about, and I shall answer to the best of my ability. Beware my long-windedness! :eyeroll: I will attempt to curb it in honor of your inquiry, no fear!

I'm a Trekky on top of all my other faults, and a compulsive reader. So if you write stories, fanfiction, or anything, let me know! I love reading others' work almost as much as reading their critique (or, perhaps, shameless flattery...? *Hint*... ). Keep me posted!

Rock on!

Nice to meet you officially!

What's your eventual aspirations?

Wow, I don't have the albums! That would be awesome. Oh, for money... That's one of the drawbacks of college, I guess. :shake:

From the Cowboy Bebop movie, however, I love the track that goes with the battle at the end -- it's got that great riff, and then the sax just flies with it. At risk of repeating myself, "drool!" I'm not even remotely close to that (and I play alto, not tenor sax), but I have an active fantasy life! ;)

Even if you truly "can't write" (which I would say is true only if there is a literal language barrier, to be terribly concrete), I'd still love to read anything you felt was worth your taking the time to write! People throw out the greatest ideas and writings just because the spelling or grammar aren't perfect, or the style "classy" (whatever THAT is) - and I think that's like throwing diamonds away because they're uncut!

Besides, I'm not that good, so you needn't feel the least bit intimidated.

I hope to hear from you!

Thank you, the pleasure is all mine!

My eventual aspirations are to get my bachelor's in English. Then, either continue with English for my Master's or start law school for Constitutional Law. If I stick with English, I'd probably get my PhD, and either teach college in the US or work in Asia (China or Korea, I would like) as a missionary/teacher.

Pipe dreams include: New York Times bestseller's list for a great novel or nonfiction work, touring with Peter Tork's band The Shoe Suede Blues as saxophonist (they need one ;) ), or becoming a brilliant theoretical physicist (if I could do calculus, that might be less of a pipe dream, but hey...). My physics doctorate thesis would be that Einstein's theory of the curvature of time-space proves that the Earth is flat and in motion -- explaining gravity effectively as inertia.

Yes, I'm a geek. No, I'm not too worried about my status as such.

So, tell me about your aspirations, including pipe dreams (those are fun!)!

Hiya!!

So you write fanfiction, do you? I love fanfiction! I've written some stuff myself, although not a lot. I read more of it than I write it.

Oh, links, I must have links to your writing! I'm with you, reading is more fun than writing sometimes... But I am addicted to the writing, too, it keeps me busy!

My avatar... *blush*... I have no idea, I just fell in love with the pic on an avatar site. I shall make that my life's mission - for this week, anyway - to find out who it is! ;)

Saxophones frighten you? I can play quietly... I'll invent a saxophone mute. Hey, there probably is already one in existence, anything for someone to make a buck, hm?

Thank you! You've saved me a week's work! I'll have to become an Angel Sanctuary fan now! I really do like the avatar.

Great to meet you, do you play any instruments yourself? (I'd offer to jam, but, you know... ;) )
