...there really isn't anything I can say. I don't think there is anything I can really do to make you feel any better, and I don't know you well enough to be able to speak to your position in a meaningful way. All I can do is express my sympathy and assure you that I will be praying.

Kae, since first meeting you online, I've come to realize that however the usual thingst that we associate selfesteem are, who you are is a real gem of a person. That makes you cool.

That said,

If you were to write a story and describe a character in it as yourself, what are some of the personality, mannerisms, and etc. that you would describe in telling about the character? (Please answer in third person if possible.)

Over the last five years, what are three important lessons that you have learned?

Do you have any funny stories?

Oddly enough, I have written a story with a character in it who was myself. It was called the Pureheart saga, and it is completely and utterly unfinished, as I have lost my writing gift.

Anyway...

The character of Nate was very quiet. He didn't speak up much, and was largely ignored by the general public, unless they needed someone to be the butt of a joke, or someone to insult so that they could feel better about themselves. This gave him a sense of self-loathing and a feeling of general uselessness. However, those who got to know him knew that he was a very nice person, and very willing to help if it was something within his power. He was very goofy, quick to crack a joke (often bad), but sometimes this was merely to mask the fact that he was hurting inside. He often pretended to be happy so that he did not depress others, as no one wants to hang out with a person who's ALWAYS mopey.

I guess what he becomes like later isn't important, as it's certainly not how I am today...

Oh, yeah, and though maybe not completely obvious, any other questions anyone may have about me are welcomed. So, ask away!

*crickets chirp*

:shady: I brought this on myself. Look, even the website is rejecting this post...

EDIT: Well, after five tries, it took it.

Wait...at the moment I do live with my parents...and I'm pretty sure I have a hawaiian shirt...but I don't have a tropical fish tank! YES! I'm only the second biggest loser!

You are not a loser. Say that over and over in your head until you feel like strangling me, but you need to believe that before others will. Those people who seem to be really confident look that way because they believe in themseves. Please don't say you're a loser.... it'll only make you more unhappy...

sheherazade wrote:Over the last five years, what are three important lessons that you have learned?

All right, I'll tell you, but you won't like it.

First and foremost, always expect the worst in life and you'll never be disappointed. Example: Today when I logged in, I said, "I bet I have no PMs." And I was right. Therefore, I was not disappointed. If I had said, "I bet there's a PM waiting for me," then I would have been wrong and I would have been disappointed.

Second, no matter how bad things are, they can ALWAYS get worse. Example: Our division officer had been fired, and while we were waiting for a new one, we had a moronic MM chief in charge. We were all miserable. We thought E-div had hit a new low...until we got our new division officer. And it became ten times worse.

Third, no matter how bad it gets, God is always there. Yes, I'm miserable and lonely, and that will never change. But I can at least take SOME solace in knowing that God loves me. It may not be enough to make me happy, but it is enough to make me content.

Do you have any funny stories?

Yes. But none of them are appropriate for this site. ;)

Okay, lemme see if I can come up with interesting worthwhile questions for you. *tries hard, but fails* ...eh, ok, any questions at all then. Ah, got some..

Ever been in a storm like a tornado or hurricane etc?

Do you hate talking on the telephone?

What's the worst chore you've ever done?
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone
And so hold on when there is nothing left in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!' ...you'll be a Man, my son!

Being in Virginia, I have never experienced a full-fledged hurricane. Oh, wait! When I was in Power School in Charleston, S.C.! The school was closed down and we had to stay in our barracks rooms (but we didn't). So for like three days all we did was play D&D and eat canned spaghetti! It rocked! We also got into a fight over whether the planet Final Fantasy 7 took place on was Earth (it is, and there's proof, and the guy who said it wasn't felt really stupid).

Do you hate talking on the telephone?

It depends. I HATE calling somewhere and ordering food or something. I also don't like answering the phone, because it's NEVER for me. But, in the rare even that it was for me, I wouldn't mind.

What's the worst chore you've ever done?

Mowing the lawn. We have a LOT of property.

coolio.

How many game systems do you have? what is your favorite?

Did you ever try to fit in the washer or dryer?

Barefoot or no? I can only go barefoot for so long until my feet start freezing!!!

Ssjjvash wrote:How many game systems do you have? what is your favorite?

Let's see...NES, SNES, Genesis, GBA, Gamecube, and a PS1 and 2.

My favorite? Hmm...that's a tough one. SNES has my favorite RPG EVER, Chrono Trigger, but that's also available on PS1 with UNGODLY loading times (is that to imply that some loading times are more Godly than others? Hmm...wait, no time for that). Also, Legend of Legaia...

BUY IT NOW! IT'S ONE OF THE BEST RPGS EVER!

...doesn't like to run very well on a PS2. It only likes PS1. Weird.

But, I think my favorite system is probably my PS2. It has a lot of good games, and I really like my Gamecube, but I just don't play it as much.

Did you ever try to fit in the washer or dryer?

Nope.

Barefoot or no? I can only go barefoot for so long until my feet start freezing!!!

Depends on the weather. Barefoot in the summer, socks in the winter.

I think we have Legend of Legaia. I'm not too big on playing all the different RPG's, but I diligently watch my brothers play them. I've played and stayed with Golden Sun 1 & 2 for GBA, and Arc the Lad for PS2 (though I couldn't beat it because it had to go back to Blockbuster)

i was going to say *glomps friend,* but when you put it that way...

I finally really have something to tell my best friend from Cal Poly/roommate last year about and I have to wait and hope I see her on this weekend. I geuss because I am not signed on to that IM name as much I keep missing her online and the few times I have seen her on she had to go to dinner, or study, or Bible study or something. Mechana is the only Cal Poly person to have IMed me-not that after her and him I would expect anyone from there to take the initiative to IM me as that would break a nearly two year pattern. It's sad, most of the people who IM me are people who have never met me. That kind of seems like it should be the other way around.

Hey, I was partly ignored in high school, why should I expect any different now?

*waits for reply*

Well, I know that feeling, sheher.

I've PMd five people over the past week that have yet to write me a response. It makes me feel very bad about myself. I often wonder what's wrong with me? It hurts me inside.

There's one member on this site I've told this story too, and she doesn't write to me anymore. I don't know why, and I don't want to ask, because I figure she doesn't like me.

Anyway, I had a VERY bad experience with a woman when I was in high school. I don't want to go into detail about it here, but it was a HUGE mess. In fact, I give credit to that woman for being the sole reason that I am scared to get too close to women. That, and the fact that EVERY woman I've asked out has rejected me. And in some cases, laughed right in my face.

But hey, at least you HAVE people who write to you, even if you've never seen 'em.

I can count on one hand the number of PMs I've gotten this week.

Hey Kaemmrite,

Just dropping in again, to see whats up after the whole "aisa-king-thing" :)
Mate if u got any probs like the above couple posts kinda suggest u can pm me if u want. But be warned im not on, on the weekends... only today for uniwork :( Globalisation stuff... oh wait in US thats with a z not an s.

Anyway if ur feeling down give us a ring or something.
And don't expect ppl to pm back, some ppl are just lazy and have nothing to say... LIke Sheherazade sent me a " :jump:" after i hadn't said hi for about 2 weeks or something.

Guys, the only person u can rely on anyway is Jesus, thats it. Ppl will always fail, forget ur b-day and stuff up. Heck i've dug myself into sooo many holes with women, particularly American ones :eyeroll: , because i don't watch my mouth and say so pretty random things, usually semi-anti US policies etc.
But who cares, Jesus died for u just the way u are. He did for me with my dorky clothes, enjoyment of Disney movies and loud mouth, not to mention every other flaw left to man. And he did for u guys too. And thats the only friend we need, its a bonus to have other non-christian friends because of our radically opposite nature to the world, and only because of christ do we even get along within christian circles. Its all about God anyway. Its not about us and our friends.

But I'll stop there otherwise ill totally get of the "pleased to meet u" idea of this thread. Anyhow, that probably was a bouncer (US = curve ball, from cricket) and i don't know if its apropriate anyway, (i might edit it later) but give us a pm if u wanna Kaemmerite,... I got nothing :)

Thanks for the glomp, Sunako and sheher. Right back at ya.

Okay, I've got ONE funny story that I can remember that's appropriate for this site.

I went out and bought a five pound bag of gummy bears before an underway, and I was eating them when I was on watch. My EOOW, CWO2 Bon, said, "I wonder how many gummy bears you can fit in your mouth?"

So, I attempted to stick as many gummy bears in my mouth as I could. When I got to 53, they began sliding down the back of my throat, and so I almost threw up. I had to spit some of them out into the trash can I had on station, but I was forced to eat the rest of 'em in my mouth by my EOOW.

For about a year after that, if some even SAID "gummy bears" I felt sick. In fact, they often did say it because of that. I can eat them again, but it wasn't until about three years after that incident.

KAE!!

Aiyah! I cant believe I have not written in here yet! I am so scatter-brained sometimes... Now, I know that this is kind of late...ok lets face it, its really late to be saying anything in your Who's Who thingy but I just cant resist.

Man, all I have to say is that you are the greatest! Hanging out with you in Shiroi's chat is the highlight of my day! And talking about Weird Al, The Simpsons, Love Hina, and Bacon are things that I wont ever forget, and not just because of my freakishly good memory either. You are gonna be the coolest and funniest Nuclear Engineer or whatever in the world!

Maybe some day we can hang out in Japan or in South Boston (its a nice town, I liked it) or somewhere in between and drink Sake and reminisce about good conversations and make some new ones while we are at it.

Anyway, however the future turns out...you should just know that I have always got your back man...always.

I didn't expect to see new replies. Interesting.

To answer your question, Kinkosami, I'm trying to think of a way. I have the most recent draft on my laptop...I guess I could transfer it over to this computer...then maybe email it to you or something? The Pureheart saga isn't complete, though, and it probably never will be.

And for you, Spike...

Mmm...bacon...

Drinks would be awesome, if you ever care to come back to SoBo. You're the third person on this site to actually know where that is. You should feel special.

Well, I read all of it!!!

Hello Kaemmerite, I'm a newbie... well sorta... and as long as nothing horrible happens to me during the week (like a computer lockdown) I'll be on like every day Mon.-Fri. anywhere from 9am ti 5pm or so. Unless my mom sends me on one of her errands!

I can totally relate to the bad treatment from women. Sorry to say I use to be a person that picked on others.... *shrinks back* that was before Jesus got a hold of me again. I can't apologize for all those women in your life, but I can assure you, I'm a changed person and you can talk to me anytime!

I have a question! Or a few...

What was your fav subject in school? Lest fav?

Do you draw? Paint? anything creative (other than writing?)

Uh.... Which do you prefer, chocolate or vanilla?

I think that's about it! hehe! TTYL!

Good for you! I'm that way too. Very picky... I want it all or nothing at all!

Sometimes I wish I had never gotten into any relationships, I was and am too young to be thinking about that kind of stuff. I need to get through school and all that before I even think about a relationship. Trust me, you guys are better off not having a relationship until God bring the right one in your life. All the other relationships only cause turmoil, pain and hate.
