Heya!

If you're new to CAA, we invite you to tell us about yourself here. This is the place to post your own bio or read up on other members. Be as in depth as you like!

Heya!

I'm new. Not a newt (I got better).

Hi, all! I'm a writer first and foremost, though I love having the opportunity to share some of my fannish artwork! My best bud Kristal Klear posted a bunch of my stuff for me, and finally said, "HARI! GET A PROFILE!" So, here I am!

So, if I can give a quick plug for my WIP (I've got a devoted beta reader and two indifferent fans thus far), I'm writing a story on fanfiction.net called Rock Study. It's an Inuyasha AU, and it's coming out all right, I think. Kristal says she loves it, if that's enough to sway you all!

I am the culprit behind Kristal Klear's introduction to MST3K, as well. Which traces its roots to Hazel, a good friend who told me about anime. Between the three of us, we have just enough raw materials to make one Nobel Prize winner, I think. Too bad we aren't one person. So, yes, glad to be here, and fair warning - I'm a goofball.

-Hari (the new kid)

Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.
- J. Hudson Taylor
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Thank you! I will say, this site has the friendliest members I've encountered on the 'Net to date! I am impressed!

My fanfiction is on Fanfiction.net -- I should simply explore this site more and see, but out of laziness... Is there a way to post fiction here? Just give me a slap if there is an obvious link to "Fanfiction" on the site. *preparing self for the mortification that is imminent* So sue me, I'm still learning the ropes! :red:

I don't think there is a link to ff.net at this site, but I don't really know.
You can go to the writing forum and put your writing down there.

I read your fanfic!

oh, yeah, I need to properly welcome you. *ahem* Welcome! *offers handshake and milkshake and fruitcake*

Sorry, ran outta' chocolate for the milkshake, but you can enjoy the wonderful taste of the whole grain bread flavor! :thumb:

Let's see, my favorite lines are:
"No Fumar? Oh MAN! They're out of FUMAR!!!"

"Pig licker? It's either someone who licks pigs, or liqure made from pigs... I would not want pig licker..."

(From the same movie as above, in regards to an 80s rock band in a bar...)

Thank you! I'm not very familiar with Japanese phrases (let me qualify that as "yet" :P ), but a friend explained that it was a greeting. If you want to give me a crash course in the essential Japanese phrases I need to know on this site, that'd be really cool! If you'd like, I could reciprocate if you ever needed help with Greek (just on the offchance... ;)).

I'm going to be reiterating this for a while - I don't know many Japanese phrases. But I'm looking forward to picking them up whenever I can! What is the translation of "Doozo yoroshiku"?

Thanks for the hug! Do you write or draw?

Thank you!!! I checked out your review, it was very flattering! Not to worry about the anime, because I'm AUing it. Very little would be clearer by your familiarity with it, I think.

Writing forum! Thank you, I'll do that!

And, also, thank you very much for the official welcome, fruitcake and all. It's the thought. ;) *returns handshake enthusiastically*

Until later!

LOL LOL LOL! Muy impresivo! I love Shorts Volume 2, regarding capturing animals for the zoo... "Call PETA?" or "Yeah, there just happens to be a camera underwater!" (I love that short!)

Or, in song, "The National Safety Co-ouncil!" ;)

I wish I was familiar enough to shoot these at you all day, but I've only seen three or four taped videos of MST -- I recently began collecting them from my Uncle's collection after discovering their brilliance! I hope to get more this semester *fingers tightly crossed*!

Have you read Douglas Adams' books, on the subject of excellent humor?
