My first thread... *shiver*

Postby mastersquirrel » Mon Oct 11, 2004 11:28 am

Well, I guess I can let you guys know a little about myself. Here goes...

My name... no... not gonna say. I was born in Greenville, SC on January 12, 1988 and I still live there. I became a christian when I was little and have always gone to the church Beech Springs (which has recently moved to a new and bigger building. PRAISE GOD! :jump: ). I looked at Link Antille's bio and liked it's set up so I copied it. Don't sue me.

Personality:
I am a guy who many would look at and call a quiet, keeps to himself sort of guy. However, that's not the case. I'm actually a quite goofy fellow who enjoys making jokes and talking about the latest games and systems. I also enjoy using sarcasm. ;)

Interests:
I've been a gamer all my life and my favorite games are:
Legend of Zelda (any of them), Metroid Prime and Fusion, Advance Wars, and any of the Mario RPGs.
I looove Star Wars and Star Trek, but I'm not a die hard trekie.
I like to read too and greatly enjoy Michael Crichton and Douglas Adams.
I also play the piano and have been taking lessons for nearly ten years.

So, that's me. If you have any questions I'll see to it that I answer them.

Ooh, your first thread and I get to be the first to reply? Yay!

Ok, before I say welcome, you have to answer two questions:
What is your favorite anime?
What is your favorite song to play on the piano, since you said that you play?

Michael Crichton is cool.
When I feel blue, I start breathing again.

sheherizade:

Sorry, but I don't watch that much anime however I love mysteries (Sir Arthur Conan Doyle ROCKS!!) so one time I saw a show called Closed Case and I thought it was really cool.

shherizade:

I love to play the Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven. (you've gotta be impressed that I spelled his name right.)

ssjjvash:

May I point out that you posted on my welcome thread (oops... that was my first thread). Any way, it's LEMON POUND CAKE YAY!!!

ssjjvash:

To me the best would be between ANH and ROTJ. I still love ESB, It's just that my brother loved taht one and played it over and over and over and that kind of gets to you.

I'd ask you the meaning of the universe, but I already know your answer. So, how's this: What's the question to the answer of the meaning of the unverse?

Yay i thought of a good question. :)
Absence is to love as wind is to a flame. It extinguishes the little, it ignites the great.

Life is a test. It is only a test. Had this been real life you would have have been instructed where to go and what to do.

Have you read all the Hitchhiker's books?

I haven't read magna before...sorry.
I like my mom's fried cube steak. It's very, VERY good.
No idea. The problem is, money changes people, but I would hope that I'd still act the same (and definitely pay my tithes).

Yes, I think that animals are cool and I just started reading Jurasic Park.

I like rock, contemporary, and classical piano music.

I like listening to Relient K, but I've found that many people don't really like them.

Relient K? Really? That's awesome! :) What's your favorite song? I think the best one has gotta be Maybe it's Maybelline, or For the Moment I feel Faint. What other artists do ya like?

One of my favorites would have to be Mood Rings or Hoopes I Did it Again. But my near absolute favorite is Charles in Charge.
Other artists I like...hmmmmm. DC Talk, Audio Adrenaline, Sonic Flood, and one other I can't quite remember. I'll post his name when I remeber.

I've realized that I forgot to put some of my absolute video games down in my list.
I love Smash Bros. Melee, and I like the speed of F-Zero.
But neither can compare to the amount of fun I had playing my favorite RPG.....Earth Bound! The game's hilarity fits in so well and I love that it takes place in present time wheras other RPGs mostly take place in the future or past.

I like the old RPGs, as you can probably tell. I like Chrono Trigger and Lufia II.
I actually nearly got to the end of Lufia II, but my brother accidentally saved over my file and I haven't gone back to finish it since.
I also like Mega Man X but I haven't been able to play the others.
I'm not sure if you'd actually call that classic gaming.

What systems are you referring to by "classic gaming?"

"The advice I like to give young artists, or really anybody who’ll listen to me, is not to wait around for inspiration. Inspiration is for amateurs; the rest of us just show up and get to work. If you wait around for the clouds to part and a bolt of lightning to strike you in the brain, you are not going to make an awful lot of work. All the best ideas come out of the process; they come out of the work itself. Things occur to you. If you’re sitting around trying to dream up a great art idea, you can sit there a long time before anything happens. But if you just get to work, something will occur to you and something else will occur to you and something else that you reject will push you in another direction. Inspiration is absolutely unnecessary and somehow deceptive. You feel like you need this great idea before you can get down to work, and I find that’s almost never the case." - Chuck Close[/color]
