Maybe so. A long, golden/silver/both one with one of those star-fruity things decorating it somehow. OO! I gotta send that idea off to the designer dudes.

*laughs* Wasn't it a pau pau or something like that. I think it would be cool if Kairi was a playable character in the next KH, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up. The only thing I'm hoping for is that it comes out for ps2.

I don't see that there's anyway for me to get around not having the cash for it. Maybe begging... yeah that's it... beg my people for it.

I hope they let you play as Riku in the second one. Sora's had his time in the spotlight he should let someone else have a turn. Of course I could be biased since Riku was my favorite character. lol I agree that it would be cool if you could play as Kairi too though. She didn't get enough screen time in my opinion. I don't really think that they'll switch the system to something other than PS2 since the majority of Square's games have been for that system, of course I could be wrong. ^^; I'll be ok, so long as they don't put it on Xbox, cause then I might be forced to invest in yet another gaming system.

The PS3 better not come out too soon. The PS2 is still too recent, in my opinion. I'd love to see what it could do, though...

Yeah, I think it'd be cool to play as Riku. Which is why it was cool in Kingdom Hearts when you teamed up with him for battles...

Humm... yes... Humm I don't think it works that way.

If you go to any major kingdom hearts webpage you will find tons of info about how they analyze the "only in Japanese version" videos trying to determine the sequal. I find people like that funny, especially since I was one of them for FFX-2 so now I pretty much know how the whole game is going to go. :sweat:

Well, my intent was not quite suicidal, but it still was a bit odd. I had a cool thought, though (which I've mentioned before). Wouldn't it be cool if they had a game in which you played as Mickey, teamed up with two Square characters and went through the different Final Fantasy games?

I don't know about you, but I could go for teaming up with, say, Squall and Vincent. It's not like it's that hard to find good Square characters.

Yeah, I'd say Vincent and Auron. I've never played Final Final VIII. Does anyone have any info on the new kingdom hearts?

Well in that case, Woohooo! Vincent is one of the best Square characters ever. To bad they didn't really flesh out his character.

Well, I thought I'd bump this topic back up to the top so we could talk about recent developments.

Square-Enix has officially announced Kingdom Hearts II and released pictures. The biggest suprise was Kingdom Hearts:Chain of Memories for the GBA.

Here's something from IGN:

"As we originally reported yesterday, Square Enix held a press conference this afternoon to officially announce two of its biggest games for 2004. The first, dubbed Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, was unveiled exclusively for the Game Boy Advance; and despite what was assumed earlier, is a direct sequel to last year's big PS2 RPG (taking place immediately after the events of the first game). The game will feature Sora, Donald, and Goofy, and sport some of the most amazing CG movies ever created for the GBA. Expect it in 2004.

The second title, Kingdom Hearts II, is slated for the PlayStation 2 and takes place several years after the end of Chain of Memories. Sora, Donald, and Goofy are joined by a Jedi-cloaked Mickey Mouse as they continue their adventure into other worlds and battle the forces of an evil mummy-wrapped ruler. Whether or not Mickey will be a part of the battle team, however, remains to be seen -- as the footage we were shown was strictly taken from cut scenes without a hint of gameplay; Though it was revealed that Sora and other characters will see costume redesigns to solidify the game's more advanced timeline.

Square Enix dev-team members have already been credited as saying that Kingdom Hearts II will answer several of the other games' lingering mysteries and expand upon the identity of the mysterious figure seen in the special video ending from Kingdom Hearts Final Mix. It will be co-published by Buena Vista Games and be released "sometime in 2004 and onward." - IGN

The clips don't show much anyhow. The scans and pictures are interesting. Note that Sora, Riku, and Kairi have older looking designs in KH2 although Sora is the only one whose front is shown clearly. Also, one of the Unknowns appears to be unmasked.

But anyway, what does everyone think so far?

*_* OOO! I didn't know there was Kingdom Hearts game coming out for GBA. I'm so excited!! The pics from KHII seem pretty interesting for sure! (I like Kairi's make-over!!!) Oh! Looking at the Deep Dive video again, the "He looks just like you," comment could be refering to the new character in Chain Of Memories. He does look a whole lot like Sora... well... the back of him does anyways.

i knew there'd be KH 2, but not a GBA game!

i still have yet to beat Sephiroth and the other two extra bosses and can't get the ultimate weapon...

Actually, there are four optional bosses including Sephiroth.

Anyway, I am looking forward to both games. I want to see some frontal pictures of Riku and Kairi. Their faces are hidden in that one KH2 poster.

*sigh* I really didn't like it, it was basically just playing through a bunch of Disney moveys (hey I like Disney movies, but they should stay as movies!) It sucked that there was only one town, with not that much stuff to buy. Also, the new characters you get are pretty pointless since you can only use them in one place. I mean it would have been fine if it just had the disney and original characters, but the Final Fantasy characters served no purpose. Lets see here, Aeris was alive (why? it doesn't make sence) Squall changes his name and he and Cloud are REALLY weak. It makes me mad >:( If you were to put lets say Sora in any final fantasy game at the strength and HP he has at his max level, he'd be something that a level one FF character could beat easily. And the whole gummi ship thing is pointless and gets old really fast.

*insane laugh* It's probably the best game Disney's had a hand in though -_-

that thing was easy to beat....
i should've beat Sephiroth the forst time i challegened him... i was level 43, beat Ansem and had left over Mega Elxiers, but didn't eant to waste them when Seph's HP bar turned green...
see, i needed the Mega Elixers 'cause my level was FAR too low to beat any boss on my own strength! LoL

I'm reeeeealy looking forward to both the new Kingdom Hearts games!! I have to say that Kingdom Hearts is probably my favorite PS2 game of the moment.(It may get replaced by Jak 2 in a while. I'll have to wait and see. ^^)

I watched Gypsy beat the entire game. Someday, I too, will master the tricks(voice deepens) and trades to become(voice is getting scary) the ABSOLUTE MASTER OF ALL THE KINGDOM HEARTS(voice squeaks, mic squeals) of...all Kingdom Hearts masters...(stupid mic
