"The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things... hey... the good things don't always soften the bad things; but vice-versa the bad things don't necessarily spoil the good things and make them unimportant." -11th Doctor

"The advice I like to give young artists, or really anybody who’ll listen to me, is not to wait around for inspiration. Inspiration is for amateurs; the rest of us just show up and get to work. If you wait around for the clouds to part and a bolt of lightning to strike you in the brain, you are not going to make an awful lot of work. All the best ideas come out of the process; they come out of the work itself. Things occur to you. If you’re sitting around trying to dream up a great art idea, you can sit there a long time before anything happens. But if you just get to work, something will occur to you and something else will occur to you and something else that you reject will push you in another direction. Inspiration is absolutely unnecessary and somehow deceptive. You feel like you need this great idea before you can get down to work, and I find that’s almost never the case." - Chuck Close

*Hands Gilgamesh some coffee* Good morning. Did you sleep well? Great name. I read the book two years ago for a class. I guess you liked that book?

Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.
- J. Hudson Taylor
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Actually, my name is from the Tourniquet song "The Tomb of Gilgamesh". But hey, I'll take the one from FFVIII, too.

Yeah, I thought of the Epic of Gilgamesh also (which predates all of that by several thousand years ;) ).

As any well-versed Final Fantasy fan knows, Gilgamesh was not only in FFVIII. He was also in Final Fantasy V, as a minion of X-Death (though he later comes out to help you in one of the final boss battles). He was famous for having obtained what he believed to be the famous sword Excalibur, but it turned out to be Excalipur, a wimpy weapon that only does 1 HP of damage. Excalipur is one of the swords Gilgamesh might use in FFVIII, much to the player's dismay. He was also in Final Fantasy IX, as the four-armed man that shows up in Treno and Daguerro.

I need to get a life... :shady:

Well, welcome, Gilgamesh. I don't believe I'm familiar with Tourniquet. I'm with Kinkosami, what kind of video games do you like? I myself am quite an avid gamer. Mostly RPG's, but I play some other stuff too.
