Has anyone seen this yet? I was interested in it . . .
I used to live in Australia and was curious to see how they did this.
Can anyone tell me if there is any bad stuff in it or if it is any good?
Opinions please!

Hey i actually havn't seen it myself, but we had the video at home from the library, so... yeah :)
Apparently its slow, and the only reason that people (you aswell i guess, me anyway) wanna see it is for his final stand in his suit. Its pretty much about his life and how he gets pushed due to circumstances into the 'Ned Kelly' we know.

There is blood in it, so there's violence but its nothing really bad I think (i havn't seen it though, but i saw one scene when a cop is running away from Ned and they have a shot out, and yeah someone coughs blood after being shot etc)
But i think its worth seeing for the suit fight :)

Where in Australia were you?? You can pm me that.

I'm half-Aussie -- my mum is a former Sydney dweller, and most of her side of the family lives in NSW (primarily Newcastle area). However, because my parents obtained Australian birth certificates for us, even though my sisters and I were born abroad, we were able to apply for Australian citizenship, so I carry both USA and Australian citizenship and passports. When I went back to Australia last year, it was as an Australian citizen, on an Australian passport, even though I reside in the USA.

In Oz, it was M. (if you remember the rating system G, PG, M, MA, R)
I think it had low level violence, probably low level coarse language aswell.

Is this the Ned Kelly with Orlando Bloom in it, 'cause I've seen that one.

If that's the one you're talking about, then it was pretty good. There's a substantial amount of violence and language. Furthermore, all of the Kelly gang guys are (to one extent or another) womanizers. Especially Orlando (naughty, Orlando). On the positive side, we never really see any thing major happen on screen, but it's quite obvious what we didn't see happen. One character has a bit of an affair with a married woman, and another character is having a "relationship" with a girl who was really young (12 or 14 or something. Can't remember the exact age). There was one shot of very brief nudity, if I recall correctly. That's all I can really think of.

There was one highly quoteable line. Someone should see it , and then we can make a running joke of inserting it anywhere and everywhere. ;)

I have no idea where it was filmed though.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. Yes, it was quite cool, actually. Sad, but still cool. (They resort to the iron suits because they're in a hopelessly outnumber situation. That, about it, makes it a little sad while still cool at the same time.

That sorta stinks that the college can dictate what you watch and what you don't. . . . I mean, I understand why they do it--- but it still stinks.
