Some things about me

Postby oro! » Sun Sep 19, 2004 11:21 am

Hi, everybody!!! Since I am new, I thought I'd
Here's some stuff I would feel okay to tell people on an online forum.
I am thirteen and my birthday is December the 18th.
I am definitely obsessed with Rurouni Kenshin and LOTR.
I have moved around a lot because my parents were missionaries in Africa. I've lived in Texas, Georgia, Florida, Kenya, and Bostwana.
I am 5'5 or 5'6.
and my favorite singers are Relient K, Sanctus Real, the Corrs, Third Day, LimitX(which is an African band), and Audio Adrenaline. I also like a few other alt rock bands and a bit of country.
If you want to know any more, ask( though I might not answer any ol' question.)

>.< You're taller than me and I'm a lil' older. lol. Oh, well.
Have you seen all the Kenshin episodes? Do you have a favorite? How is it being in Africa? I wanted to go on a missions trip there, but it never worked out.

Very interesting. I've not managed to make it out of the Western Hemisphere, yet. Africa sounds like an interesting place for an American to grow up.

Thanks for the responses!
Ssjjvash, don't feel bad. I am taller than most of my friends, and a lot are older than me. It must have been something in the water...
I did not watch all of the Rurouni Kenshin episodes, but I am reading the manga. I think my favorite episode was The Two Hitokiri.
Um, to iron one thing out most people ask me, yes there is some civilization out there.^_^
It is hard to say all I would want, but one major thing there is that it was so pretty. I don't remember very much about Kenya, but one thing that sticks out is the Indian ocean. It was a pretty blue, and not polluted like a lot in Georgia. I lived a five-minute walk from the beach.( by the way, when I grow up, I want to live somewhere tropical) In botswana, we were right by the desert( a big change) but that was still so beautiful. I loved the people. No offense, but to me it seems that most Africans are much nicer than people here and actually care about what's happening. For example, when Kenyans say hello, they don't just stop at jambo, they ask how yur family is, your house, your pets, etc. I liked that a lot.
They also seemed a lot more laid back in church and life in general. Kids aren't hooked to the tv. (heh heh... or the computer)
Ask more questions... I don't know exactly what to put up

yeah, it seems like people outside the U.S. are so much more nice and hospitable.
I wonder why. have you been to the ocean lots of times? I've only been to an ocean in Florida when I went on a vacation there. It was cool, but I was too scared to go out very far.
I love the feeling of the water taking the sand from under your feet! It just feels so weird! lol.

Quote: "God bless America... and nobody else." Need I say more.
Just kidding, don't be getting me for that. I know not everyone here thinks that, I just thought it was funny.
Yeah, I have lived by the ocean a couple of times, and even when I didn't, I liked to go down sometimes for vacation as well. What I love to do there is body surf! It is so fun!(besides, it seems that pastors and missionaries aren't really the richest in material worth)^_^ Which part of Florida have you been to?

I've been to Disney World--wherever that may be located. I don't know exactly where we were when we saw the ocean. It's kind of funny, we went there during Biker Week. There were motorcycles EVERYWHERE and we got stuck in traffic and some of us had to go to the bathroom really bad!! lol.
I saw a billboard that said "America, bless God!" And i was like, "Yeah, right on!!"
