Sorry...I hate the evil Microsoft empire. Xbox is also the worst selling system in Japan, if I remember. It has no RPGs (besides Morrowind, bleh), and I am an RPG freak. However, I will admit there is ONE game that makes me want to get an Xbox. Ninja Gaiden. Boy, does that game rock! But one game isn't enough to make me buy a whole system.

The X-box is a great system and you can't say it lacks in the well-made game department. I'm not at all saying the system is for everyone... not at all. It's an Americanized console, so it's mostly a PC game machine for the TV. Action and Sport.

System wise....over all, it's a my favorite of the three. I own all three (Cube, PS2, and X-box) and if an all platform game comes out, normally, I buy the X-box version. Not only, because it's usually the best looking version.... I personally prefer it's controller. And on the S-controller... the black and white buttons are perfectly functional and placed to me. It's the start and select buttons that bother me.

Still, game wise…. I love my cube. (Still a die hard N-fan)

Anyways, so what are you favorite games?

Mine:

1. Knights of the Old Republic
2. Ninja Gaiden
3. Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance - best $15 I ever spent :p
4. Halo - I will admit this game is overrated.... I mean, what score are they going to give Halo 2... if they gave Halo a 10? ;)
5. Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow

sorry but xbox is the worst of the next gen consoles. the reason . . . . . . . . it only has a few good games on it which are the following

halo (you can get this game on pc with online play so there is really no reason to buy it for xbox)
knights of the old republic (you can also get this one on PC)
ninja gaiden
all of the splinter cell games (i will admit that xbox has the best versions of splinter cell)

other than that there is a lack of quality games for xbox. another thing i hate about xbox is the controller its even worse than the ps2 controller

I'll tell you the reason why I don't have an Xbox. Most of it's games I can play on my PC or my PS2, and in the case of the PC play them better.

Xbox r0x0rs!

I used to hate it without reason. Stupid me... I had friends like that too, but as soon as I got one and they played mine, they all wanted them and bought their own consoles.

Anyways, I love Xbox now. I'm a big fan as well. It leaves the other consoles in the dust, IMO.

I have Xbox and actually I enjoy playing online with it more than PS2, the service is just spiffier. There are not many games but like Gamecube there are very good ones to match the select few.

And it usually has the better versions compared to PS2, Splinter Cell, Burnout 3, Madden NFL 2005, and Guilty Gear X.

I use the Controller S's and they're quite a bit smaller. I've gotten used to them, and I actually like them better than the other consoles' controllers. They seem more responsive and comfortable, and I like the layout better as well.

Read the label on the picture I attached below. lol, j/k it's a just a joke.

As gamerz we have to stop taking things so seriously. PS2 is weakest but the most games, GameCubes got few but good games, and Xbox is xobx.

I think the only reason why poeple HATE XBOX is because it's by microsoft. If Apple or Linux made Xbox I would of bought one long ago.

NOW I know this isn't what you wanted, you were just looking for xbox fans, and all these "hataz" lol, came in on your thread. But here's a bit of comfort. In the future I really want an xbox, even thought there are only 3-5 games I actually want on it, I want an xbox, but i'm not paying $150 for it thought
I'm leaving CAA perminantly. i've wanted to do this for a long time but I've never gathered the courage to let go.

I don't hate the Xbox, it's just at the bottom of my to get list.

Pros:
KOTOR and upcoming sequel (yes you can get it for the PC, but $150 for an Xbox will come a lot faster than $600-800 for a new computer that can run it)
Mechassult and upcoming sequel
Just read that it can be modded to run emulators O___O (I didn't say that :) )
Fable (maybe, looks intersting, have to wait and see how it plays out)
Ninja Gaiden (with the three arcade original hidden in it :) )
Cons
Most games are FPS, squad based shooters, and military stealth games, which just aren't that interesting to me.
I have no broadband accessability, so Xbox live doesn't matter

It is a power system that makes beautiful games, it just needs more than a flagship title to stand on.

I don't think I've chimed in on this yet... yes I'm an XBox fan (dispite the fact the it's a Microsoft Prodcut, ack!)

good games, aside from the ones mentioned above:

Morrowind GOTY (beware, will suck away your life... think an off-line Evercrack)

Project Gotham Racing (and PGR 2).... it's a racing game with a point system for unlocking stuff similar to a game like Tony Hawk.

Panzer Dragoon Orta ... it's a rail shooter (mosty fixed path), but it rocks!

Beyond Good and Evil ... most underrated game of 2003 - must get this (whatever system).

Spiderman 2 .... totally cool web slinging action, even if it doesn't follow the movie 100%

Sudeki .... some people haven't liked this, and reviewers keep complaining about the frame rate (never seemed to be an issue for me, hope they're not confusing the time-slowdown effect in the "skills" as bad framerate. Game is a cross between Eastern and Western RPGs. Rent if you're not sure about this one.

A couple underrated titles (IMNSHO):

Azurak ... early title for the XBox, kinda Zelda-esque (but nothing is quite Zelda). Neat concept, elements that you combine to power up your staff or armor. Controls take a bit to get used to.

Nightcaster ... an element based spell casting game set in a world being overrun by darkness. Not a perfect game, but considering you can pick it up for under $10 used (EB Games, Gamestop) it's worth the cost (I think I only paid like $7 for it, maybe less with my GMR card).

Yeah I can see ur point there but my focus was never really on rpgs (except Fable) *dances*, and although I dont like the Microsoft Empire either I extremely dislike Playstation. The Playststion2 isnt as good a system as the other two (Gamecube and Xbox) as far as hardware goes and thats simply because Playstation is a Japanese system with a programming language that is used by Japanese game making companies who make most of the rpgs. Because of this Playstation realized that they would have all the Japanese games regardless of how good the system itself was, and simply said that when it came out they didnt have to beat the other systems in hardware, they just had to be better than their original. That shows ,to me, that they did something perfectly on par with what the money grubbing Microsoft would do. They wimped out on the system because they knew good system or no they would own the market. Which is what Microsoft does with the computer industry. That being said I understand ur viewpoint completely and sympathise, but I just couldnt live with myself for giving in here. Basicly I see Playstation as the Microsoft of the gaming industry.

And as far as games go thers alot to look forward to on Xbox. Burnout3, Halo, Halo2, Splinter Cell, Splinter Cell Pandora Tommorrow, Metal Gear Solid 2, Fable, Half Life2, and Doom3 just to name a few, and I realize that these may not be ur kinds of games but theyre what I live for as far as gaming goes and I love my Xbox dearly.

Playstation is made by the Japanese therefore of course they're going to have Japanese games... And a system is only as good as the games it has. Wonder why the Jaguar never made it big? It was the first 64 bit console and it was only made in 1993. The only problem was it's library of games sucked and the thing never made it far off the ground. You can have all the power in the world and it won't do you any good unless you have the games to go with it.

Your logic is flawed I don't see how the Playstation being the most popular system means it shouldn't have the most games, that makes no sense. Developers and publishers will make games where they will sell the most. And with the Playstation a proven commodity a company bringing the majority of it's resources to the PS2 is a simple choice. Sony relies on it's popularity which gives it an extensive library of games, these two go hand in hand. PS2's library is more than the Xbox and the Gamecube's combined and that's more than an incentive to choose the PS2 over any other system.

And as for those games to look forward to on Xbox. This is another problem with Xbox. I can play most of it's games either on my PS2 or on my PC, and play them better on the PC for that matter. Burnout3 I can play on my PS2, Halo on my PC, Halo 2 eventually on my PC, The Splinter Cell games on my PC or PS2, MGS2 on my PS2, Half Life 2 on my PC, and of course Doom 3 on my PC. Fable is the only exception in your list and while I am very interested in it I can't justify buying a system just for that.

You misunderstand me. I didnt say that because playstation2 is the most popular system that it shouldnt have as many games. I said that it could have been much better and that playstation skimped out on the hardware because they knew wether or not they had a truly awesome system they would have the games and just did the bare minimum. To me theres no excuse for that.

As for the games I dont have a ps2 and willl never get one and I definitely dont have the money to get a good enough PC to any of those games.
